This is old-fashioned fun until the climactic battle, which almost comes across like routine bone piling after all the flights of fancy.

Great movie Absolutely a great horror spoof. The movie has several classic one liners along with some awesome scenes. Definitely a timeless horror movie.

Love it!!! I am a huge fan of Bruce Campbell & the EVIL DEAD franchise of films. They are just too cool. I'll admit that some of the acting is hammy & some of the effects are so so but I believe that is what makes these movies so good. This was made in the days when physical effects were king & all that C.G. you see nowadays was unheard of. Bottom Line is THIS FLICK IS EXCELLENT!!!
Joshua Smith
Yes! This movie is fantastic! The most accessible to newcomers to the series. Lot's of slapstick the least gore out of probably all of them. The character Ash is at his finest here (read: cheesiest). GROOVY!
Jared Beaty
Excellent A great moive for people who like horror/comedy films as Bruce Campbell fights the forces in this laugh out loud horror classic.
Gail Gasper
Bruce rules! Being a complete Bruce Campbell fan, all the Evil Dead flicks are required watching. Army of Darkness has just that right blend of scary/funny/cheesy that reminds me why I love Sam Raimi (& his various pals & brothers). It's classic Bruce. Watch & enjoy.

I got news for you pal... Best movie ever!! If you like to laugh, you'll love it!
This is Bruce A great cult horror comedy that everyone should see at least once. Its cheesy, a little raunchy, and a whole lot of fun. I would totally buy the digi copy... if it were cheaper. You can probably buy it new on DVD for that price. Then rip your own.
Not for everyone One of those quirky movies that not everyone will get, but if you do, you'll fall in love. One of Bruce Campbell's best performances and one of my favorite movies of all time. If you have a sense of irony and revel in absurdity, give it a try!
Love this movie! Great movie, has some of the catchiest lines in any movie. Bruce Campbell is awesome!
Love it!!!!! Bruce Campbell is my hero!!! Thus movie is so funny, I never get tired of it!
