Changed to 1 star cuz... EDIT: BTW, Atlantic Rim was on tv a couple wks ago, before Pacific Rim was in theaters, so Pacific is the one copying. But let's hope they do am amazing job since Atlantic sucked! EDIT 4 JOSHUA:I happen to be well informed, thank u! All I'm sayin is this came out 1st as Attack From Beneath. It sucked so bad, maybe they changed the title hoping 2 cash in on the great hype of Pacific Rim. & del Toro (whose work I LOVE!) is actually copying & paying homage to Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime series 1995-2009)

making mud pies I was so disappointed with the rushed and poorly written story line of this movie. The only thing that upgraded the movie itself, was the attempt at acting from the casts of characters not worth mentioning. At least the movie was consistent, with its theme. Best of the worst, or do I mean the worst of the worst?

The Worst Rip off This has to be the worst I've seen in a long line of really bad movies to date. I'd rather see the real Pacific Rim because this was a real piece of sh?t that no one should have to watch.

Correction to a previous comment In respones to Carlene's edit; Ummm, just because it was on tv first doesn't mean it was developed first. del toro had been developing pacific rim for like the last four years. sooo, guess what, you're wrong. this piece of c-movie garbage is the rip off. Get informed before you write bud.

Attack The Block
From the producers of Shaun of the Dead, ATTACK THE BLOCK is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen street gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London housing project into a sci-fi battleground, the low-income apartment complex into a fortress under siege. And it turns a crazy mix of tough street kids into a team of kick ass heroes. It's inner city versus outer space and it's going to explode. © 2011 Canal+ Image UK Limited, UK Film Council 2010 and Channel 4 Television Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
Inglourious Basterds
In the first year of the German occupation of France, Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish American soldiers to perform swift, shocking acts of retribution. Later known to their enemy as "the basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of the Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquis, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own.... Employing pulp and propaganda in equal measure, Quentin Tarantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS weaves together infamous, oppressed, real and larger-than-life the stories of WWII.

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning
Muay Thai martial arts master Tony Jaa returns to deliver a bone-breaking barrage of knees and elbows in this action opus that finds the star not only delivering blows in front of the camera, but calling the shots behind it as well. Despite the title's indication of this film as a sequel to 2003's Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior, this movie has no narrative connection to the events of the earlier work, despite the fact that both films star Jaa.
