Joe Morgenstern
This screen adaptation of Katherine Paterson's now-classic novel for young readers tells its story with agreeable simplicity in between computer-generated monsters.
Bruce Diones
The special effects suggest a Narnia-like romp, but the movie has a darker, more sorrowful landscape to explore and it does so brilliantly, with true nuance and heartfelt sincerity.
J. R. Jones
It's the sort of movie I admire more in retrospect than I did while watching it.
Derek Adams
An affecting inquest into the nature of courage, mortality, grief and the healing power of faith.
Richard Roeper
It's rendered in a very touching and authentic and beautiful way.
Joshua Land
As humane a Hollywood film as we're likely to see all year.

This is Csupo's feature directorial debut, but as creator, producer, and writer of Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys, among several other series, he's had a long career in animation, and he handles the CGI setpieces masterfully.

Wonderful family film After a few lackluster translations of films made from the book of the same name, this particular movie seems to finally get it right. Much of that success has to be placed on the two young actors that the story revolves around; they are both well suited to the parts they play and both terrific actors. The movie (like the book) deals with many themes that most fare aimed at young children tend to shy away from and it strengthens the film for it. A little bubblegum pop here and there detracts from the movie, but it is after all intended for the middle school crowd. Be prepared (if you don't know the story, or maybe even if you do) to have your heart sucked into the story and characters only to have it tossed around like a ragdoll and pounded on throughout.
A heartwarming movie The acting in bridge to terabithia was spot on. Annasophia robb and josh hutchetson did a fantastic job at making the leads enjoyable and likeable. Josh did an eccellent job in his acting in the third part, even got me to cry towards the end. Overall, the performance were great, and the fantasy took a backseat to the central story about two friends and their incredible friendship. Loved it!
Educational Read the book as a 10 year old which introduced me to death of loved one. Movie does it justice. Sad and powerful.
Perfect This movie is perfectly plotted! It cannot get any better!!

Like the city he lives in and his beloved hometown NFL team, the down-and-out Vince (Mark Wahlberg) has seen better days. But then the Philadelphia Eagles' new coach Dick Vermeil (Greg Kinnear) calls an unprecedented open tryout, and the 30-year-old bartender who never played college ball makes the cut. Now Vince needs every bit of his gritty, never-say-die attitude and enormous heart to survive in the high-stakes world of professional football. Heartfelt and triumphant, and filled with body-slamming NFL football action, INVINCIBLE will have you on your feet cheering for the scrappy underdog who helped his team rediscover its winning spirits, and in the process rallied a city when it needed it most.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts only to discover that much of the wizarding community has been led to believe that the story of the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort is a lie, putting Harry's integrity in question. Worse, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, has appointed a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the duplicitous Professor Dolores Umbridge. But Professor Umbridge's "Ministry-approved" course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the Dark Forces threatening them, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry is convinced to take matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.
