Not a 1 star film. It's not a bad flick. Really doesn't deserve 5 stars... Maybe a shade under 4..but certainly not the intended 1 its labeled with at the time of this review . The plot is a bit disjointed. Their are a lot of questions left at the end.. Acting is good.. Special effects are decent. It's good enough to look forward to the sequel, which I understand is in the works. Wish their was a little more exposition on the state of the world, the cure, and the disease itself. But I'll just have to wait.

In this science fiction thriller, child psychiatrist Catherine Deane (Golden Globe-nominee Jennifer Lopez "Selena," "Maid in Manhattan") has developed a technique that allows her to travel through the minds of her patients. When Stargher (Emmy Award-nominee Vincent DOnofrio TV's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Full Metal Jacket"), a serial killer who methodically drowns his victims and performs bizarre rituals with their bodies, falls into a coma, FBI agent Peter Novak (Vince Vaughn "Wedding Crashers," "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story") asks Deane to enter the killers psyche in hopes of finding the location of a missing girl whom Stargher has kidnapped and, if she isn't found soon, will drown in her torture cell. However, once Deanne enters the bizarre world of Starghers mind, she finds getting out being a very difficult matter. It's all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. But some who come back are no longer human. The Mist
David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.

Halloween (2007)
From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers. 1408 (Director's Cut)
Adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (John Cusack) believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. But after a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he has no real proof of life...afterlife. But Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but like many Stephen King heroes, first he must go from skeptic to true believer -- and confront his demons to survive the night.
