The ending to this fable misses the opportunity for broader metaphorical resonance, but getting there has its own unnerving rewards.
Martin Tsai
"Contracted" can best be described as "Contagion" meets "Blue Is the Warmest Color," without all those explicit sex scenes.
Rob Staeger
There's no payoff to the paranoia.
Dennis Harvey
A body-horror opus that will satisfy genre fans who like to be grossed out, but doesn't have much to offer on any other count.

Do not waste your money.. This was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. This girl must have done the nasty to land this role because she couldn't act if a gun was pointed at her head. Pretty much improv script with cheap effects fake blood. Looked like a multimedia project a bunch of kids in high school directed.
Loreal Madonna
Could have been so cool! I thought it was going to be a very good movie at first the concept was unique and the acting wasn't half bad the special effects were amazing but the problem is once she started killing people it went downhill all the way down hill so it's worth a watch on Netflix but I wouldn't buy it!

Disturbing to the 10th power I'm traumatized. This movie will probably give me PTSD. I am a horror movie fanatic- but this is its own genre. It doesnt have a Michael Meyers killing horny teenagers. There is no devil possession a la EXORCIST. No Alien monsters or Freddie nightmares. Just a dumb chic that suffers the worst case of the clap known to man.

Use Protection! (Actually A Pretty Good Film) Okay so I really liked this one. Well acted and not a bad production altogether. The slight tone of the story however feels very metaphorically "STD Safety" but no so much that it's cheesy. I was expecting the movie to be cheesy but the good news is it wasn't. Not to me at least. The ending however is a great twist, I'm not sure if I saw it coming or not. You can kinda guess it but not really. It does put a little bit of a new spin on an undead-type plot. There aren't many movies that I have seen with STD's that cause you to decay and then some. I liked it and it felt like a little bit of an underdog. Since it was so fresh I'll give it 5. :)

Well.... **SPOILER** I will say this .. I love horror movies . This movie however , was not what I expected , it was horrible(good plot) but horrible acting & scenes .. just horrible .. BUT , great ending ; nice twist .... how can people be nonchalant about a women who has bloody eyes !?! or kiss a women who looks dead !?! girl meets guy , girl gets virus , girl goes crazy & girl becomes zombie . IF they came out with another movie , I say the second would be great ... shows what happens after the virus spreads

ehh... I don't like to talk crap about movies, even if I don't like them, because they (especially independent movies) represent somebody's personal creative vision, and I take that seriously. In that spirit, I am not going to say this movie is bad, but I did not like it for the following reasons: 1. It was unrealistic. Not with respect to the girl's disease (I can suspend my disbelief there) but with respect to people's behavior. There are MULTIPLE times in this film where I thought "What normal person would behave like that?" The infected protagonist is not even the main source of my objections here (any strange behavior on her part might arguably be excused by appealing to the extraordinary conditions in which she finds herself) , but the healthy people around her. Forget about zombification-inducing viruses picked up from corpses--when basic things like a mother's reaction to her daughter's injury are so wholly unbelievable, it jerks you out of the narrative. 2. Thin plot, not much gore. Normally, when a movie like this has a thin plot, the point is just to display some good gore, and I'm fine with that, but there's really not much here.

Meh Completely unrealistic to the point it was difficult to watch. The acting isn't good. I found this movie predictable and often felt anger towards the narcissistic main character. It wasn't the worst movie I've seen and it had a few great moments. I wouldn't suggest buying it, renting would be enough if you're curious.

STOP!! Don't read any reviews!! Take my advice... seriously. Do not read any reviews. So many of them give away plot points that will spoil the movie. Low-budget, yes. Independent, yes. Zero star power, yes. But if you're a fan of the horror genre you owe it to yourself to watch this wonderfully crafted and unique story.
Save Your Money!!!! With $7, I could have taken my girlfriend out on a date to McDonalds...which would have been a million times more worth my money. The concept is not bad for a zombie prequel of some sort, but seriously I have never been so angry at how idiotic a character in a movie could be. This was more of a movie about psychological disorders.. Go ahead and waste your money, but don't say I didn't warn you..

A little different than most zombie movies. I kind of liked it but thought the main characters "neediness" was kind of lame. The movie is not bad at all. The beginning of the film I got the impression that 'BJ' was having sex or something with the corpse...that kind of threw me off guard. But anyways yes its good and she goes through a crazy metamorphosis.
LISTEN UP. This movie is f*cking insane. Unique in every aspect and whoever thought this up was a f*cking genius. If you're into zombie flicks (28 days later, World War Z, etc.). It obviously has a lower budget but, it has a new twist on the theories of zombies. Isn't for people with weak minds or stomachs! Negative comments are from people who think every zombie film should be on the same basis as "the walking dead". DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, get Netflix instead for more. Quality, alright. 5 stars for the brainstorm plot!

Contracted This movie is good and stupide sorry but I just don't get some parts. She's sick the guy is not and if u pay attention she deserves to get contracted she sleeps with a guy while trying to work out things with her girl and then gives her girl a 10 month anniversary bottle of wine but tells doc last time she been with a guy was 8 months ago and if the guy is a child molester where are the little zombies just saying. .
