Ethan Gilsdorf
Deep in the swampy hearts and minds of some filmmakers, embarrassing stereotypes still fester, gathering moss and slime.
Neil Genzlinger
Doesn't throw in the kind of wit that can turn a formulaic creature feature into a pleasant diversion along the lines of "Lake Placid."
James Berardinelli
There is a perverse enjoyment to be had from something this cheesy, although not enough of one that I can recommend sitting through it.
Stephen Whitty
It is in no way a great movie. But it is a great reminder of what used to be so much fun about bad movies.
Mark Olsen
With dependably creepy character actor Sid Haig to goose things along as leader of the locals, "Creature" is delightfully dopey.
Bruce Demara
May have been intended as a homage of sorts to Jaws but it comes across as more like a ripoff of a film that is far, far, far out of its league.

It's a good one. Worth the rental price. Acting is great to adequate. FX are acceptable despite the rubber suit. Story and character development is A+ despite the fact I've seen similar. The title is terrible. Obviously some studio jerk mucked around with it. Quite a good little flick all around. Hopefully the director will get some money for the information next outing.
Great movie! I remember seeing this movie on 9-10-2011. I looked at the list of movies and said that must be an old classic of something from the 60s. Nope.. came out the day before. I bought 2 tickets and went to see it. Opening scene was worth the price of admission if you like seeing a girl go skinny dipping in a swamp. The movie was awesome. Monday morning i found this movie in the news as biggest box office bust in history. Better advertising and this movie would have been a hit!
Ug It's $6.99 so no one will rent it. There would have to be nudity to make this move worth that much.
WTH? Why would this movie....with no known actors be 6.99???
Looks corny but It has some good well known actors in it so it might be worth a try.. Update to come..
Blade0255@Gmail.com Creature was a GREAT MOVIE, hands down. Sid Haig brings so much to a horror movie, and the ending you won't see coming. 5 stars, THUMBS WAY UP
No known actors?!? To the clueless guy who made the above comment: Sid Haig is VERY well known and considered a cultural icon! #getaclue.

As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, the local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.

That is, until the sinister history ripples into the present and casts a shadow over life as he knows it. And when a looming secret shatters his marriage, David can't help but suspect the dark spirits of the house are somehow involved. In his drive to unveil the shadows hidden in the walls, David begins to descend into insanity, threatening the lives of everyone around him.

In Fear

This critically acclaimed Sundance breakout is hailed as one of the best horror films of the year. Tormented by an unknown entity, a young couple fights to survive a road trip-turned-nightmare when they're trapped in a claustrophobic backwoods maze on a dark road. On one of their first dates, Tom (Iain De Caestecker of TV's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D) and Lucy (Alice Englert of BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) drive to a music festival in a remote countryside village. But when they leave the main road to look for their hotel they quickly become hopelessly lost. Misleading road signs send them in circles and soon night sets in. As their anxiety escalates they discover they are not alone, and this sadistic game spirals into a white-knuckle ride for survival. Costars Allen Leech (TV's DOWNTON ABBEY, THE IMITATION GAME).
Nothing Left to Fear
Horror
3
The first film from music icon Slash (of Guns N' Roses fame) and the latest from the producers of THE EYE and THE RING, NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR is based on the true-life demonic folklore of Stull, Kansas. Wendy (Emmy®-Nominee Anne Heche of TV's HUNG) and Dan (James Tupper of TV's REVENGE) move their family from the big city to a sleepy Kansas town and take over preaching duties from retiring Pastor Kingsman (Clancy Brown of TV's SLEEPY HOLLOW). Unbeknownst to them, their new home is actually one of the seven known gateways to Hell. The family's quiet new beginning is savagely derailed by a charismatic but emotionally conflicted man of the cloth. Directed by the protégé of Oscar®-Winner Gore Verbinski, this heart-pounding thriller costars Ethan Gregory Peck (THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE).
Frozen
Horror
3
Critics have called it "OPEN WATER on a ski lift" and "JAWS in the snow." It remains perhaps the most intense and terrifying film of 2010: As Sunday evening falls, three snowboarding friends decide to take one last run down the slope. Halfway up the mountain, their chair lift stops, the lights go out, and the resort closes for the week. They are stranded, but the worst is still to come. A storm is approaching. Frostbite is setting in. And on the ground below them, a pack of hungry wolves have gathered to wait. Kevin Zegers (DAWN OF THE DEAD, WRONG TURN), Shawn Ashmore (X-MEN, THE RUINS), and Emma Bell star in the relentlessly chilling thriller from writer/director Adam Green (HATCHET) that Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News hails as "a vicious, scary and horrifying experience...FROZEN is a howling good time!"
