The movie's found-footage conceit never creates a proper atmosphere, something essential to any horror film but particularly one involving the occult.
Randy Cordova
Throw in an abandoned house in the neighborhood that is suddenly occupied, a vanishing obstetrician and a first communion ceremony that goes terribly wrong, and the chill factor quickly rises.
Rafer Guzman
A disjointed and unconvincing movie that is also embarrassingly derivative of "Paranormal Activity."
Jeannette Catsoulis
Dredging up horror movie favorites like random nosebleeds, a traumatized priest and a mama-to-be with a yen for raw meat, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett direct with competence but a...

At least there's a credible premise in "Devil's Due," an otherwise feeble exercise in the found-footage form.

Devils Due I watched this in theaters with 2 friends and I'll admit this movie was a little scary and I liked it at the same time because you don't know how stuff happens like when the syco path lady says when she was born by death I was like WHAT?!? and I hope you people watch it unless your scared easily but if you you want to do it cause its just plan scary and freaky:)
Devil's Due Not sure if I was watching th e same movie as some of the other viewers! I am a horror movie junkie, will get my fix from anything that is new, old, slasher, supernatural, whatever. Once in awhile, though, you get a bag off the street that is full of good, rejuvenating, and "jumpy" horror. This IS that gem, a crystal rock in the baggie of powder. Has this storyline been screened before? Sure, but not in this fashion! Better than going Michael Bay style and simply remaking an often already great film. Bomb!
Why Can't We Rate Zero Stars? If I have to endure another hand-held camera failure of a nightmare, I will simply explode! The Blair Witch Project is yester-century news. Let it go, this just may have been a great movie, but the portable camera filmotology is tiredness, stop it already you producers and editors. It's stupid! I really hope that they get it together with this crap! Only Chronicle and the Arletta Avenue movies were acceptable with this. And Play Store developer's, please allow us to endorse a "zero star" rating. Thanks.
By far the worst movie I've ever watched The first 90% is waaaaay too slow. Then the last part is too fast. I get the whole Blaire Witch Project thing they're doing with the videography but it's too choppy and made me dizzy. Story line is flimsy. Ending is bad. Oh, and it's not scary! My tip: watch Rosemary's Baby instead!

Eh.. Trust me ladies and gents. All I watch is horror movies. Everynight I struggle to find something that just makes me. say; "wow"! This was NOT it. The Shaky camera made me sick, but even so, let's pretend it didn't. The movie lacked substance, debth, excitement, anticipation. I was not at all on the edge on my seat. I was disappoin6ted. This movie had a really great concept and idea but it was done poorly. Really lame. I gave it 3 stars because there was a few cool visual scenes. PASS

Unique/twisted finale. The movie IS very slow and I am a semi-religious person and I liked it,but what sold it for me was several scenes,in particular the finale/climax. It IS predictable but it's very unnerving and intense and prestigiously well shot. 3 out of 5 stars and I'd give it a 5 and a half out of 10. Also its ALOT like V/H/S 1&2 and I can't wait for V/H/S:viral aka: VHS3. Incredible 2 films:-D
