Bruce Diones
An unnecessary, though enjoyable, remake of Kevin Bacon's 1984 breakout hit.
Peter Rainer
It seems more pandering (and dated) than ever.
Richard Roeper
"Footloose" has the look and feel of an OK basic cable movie."
Tom Long
In terms of empty-headed exuberance, it's hard to top Footloose.
William Goss
May not make as great a dent in the current generation as the original film had, but it does offer up a commendable amount of energy and heart...
Rob Nelson
Paramount's Footloose reboot never quite cuts loose enough to distinguish itself from the original.

By the time four little girls teach a dorky guy to dance to (the original) "Let's Hear It for the Boy" I was a gelatinous blob of pure affection. Bring on "Flashdance" 2.0.

REMAKES SUCK Why does Dennis Quaid seem to specialize in remakes? This may be a good movie but why try to improve on perfection. The original was fantastic. Do your own stuff or do you lack the talent?
Crap Crap, crap, crap. These remakes don't live up to their original counterparts.
It will become a classic! All the players do a very good job on this movie. It will start several actors off to being known names in Hollywood, like Kenny Wormald on Jullianne Hough. Kenny is on track to becoming a replacement to Patrick Swayze. I recommend all to see this remake made in the South.
**I LOVE IT!!** I'M ADDICTED TO THIS MOVIE! I THINK & KNOW IT'S WAY BETTER THAN THE OLD ONE!! AND KENNY IS SSSOOO HOT!! HIS HOTNESS MAKES ME WANNA SCREAM (FOR ICE CREAM)(LMAFO)
Amazing footloose This movie is so good. A remake of the old one. New outfits and dances. A must see
Good movie This movie was so great, cool and sad all together
Pleasantly surprised I went into this movie being a huge fan of the original. So of course I already hated the movie before I saw. Boy was I wrong. Now I love this one just as much as the original. Has more than enough differences in to make it its own film.
Looooove it ;) I love this movie its a perfect picture of teens fighting for what they want and how they choose to love their lives and the dancing is great
Loved it I have seen the original many times over and will do the same with the remake. Yes there are differences in them but that's what makes it good.
Footlose Its a crazy romantic dancing movie its so fantastic I didn't groove my eyes! (")>
