Trevor Johnston
Effects and production design are splendidly integrated into the overall enterprise, which is even more enjoyable for being so unexpected.
Kevin Courrier
Boldly going where few parodies have gone before.
Peter Rainer
The drolleries take precedence over the special effects.
Stephanie Zacharek
A sweet-spirited and clever film for anyone who's ever been a sci-fi nerd -- or laughed at one.
Cody Clark
The movie's cast is delightful.
Lawrence Van Gelder
An amiable comedy that simultaneously manages to spoof these popular futuristic space adventures and replicate the very elements that have made them so durable.

It's a clever premise but not one that lends itself to an hour and 42 minutes of high jinks.

One of my favorites This is a very funny, good, clean, and witty spoof of Star Trek. One of those movies I can watch again and again. The video quality was really crappy (lower than standard quality) though. I don't understand how Google can get away with charging more than 2 dollars for video quality this low. But the movie is great.

This was a wonderful delight! I had passed over this movie several times when I had it available under flat-fee streaming, but decided to finally view the movie now, paying a-la-carte. I'm glad I finally did. I had really missed a movie that brought me back to my childhood feel-good aftermath from watching a fun movie. It helps to watch it if you're up to date and aware of some of the sci-fi movies and shows that have come through the past couple decades, but I'd still recommend it for a light-hearted lazy afternoon entertainment.

Great entertainment Every time I watch this movie I'm reminded of how hysterical it is and a perfectly real spoof on sci-fi nuttiness. Each actor is a perfect fit to their role, including Tim Allen as the too-big-for-his-britches captain star and Alan Rickman as the washed up serious actor whose only claim to fame is this goofy TV series.
awesome This movie is awesome, and Alan Rickman is a freakin' genius! Knowing this guy usually plays serious or dramatic roles in a lot of movies and tv dramas, I think this was his best in the comedy spectrum.
Excellent Star Trek takeoff I've watched this 10 times and it still makes me laugh out loud. Amazing cast at their peak. Special kudos to Alan Rickman and Enrico Colantoni.
Fun, great cast. I am a star trek fan but this spoof is just too good to not laugh at. Inside an onscreen hero may be a narcissistic dufus - and inside that dufus may be an actual hero afterall. So human.
Terrific Childhood Favorite This movie is and will forever be one of my favorite Tim Allen movies. Stellar plot, evenly paced film, and strong acting across the board, Galaxy Quest is a must-have for everyone! Rent it, borrow it, or buy it, you certainly won't regret it!
Infinitely rewatchable This is the best funny "trek" parody. That's not a peradoy. It is In its own catagory and just fun start to finish. A must watch for any sci-fi fan
Great I can't even explain how funny and awesome this movie is.

The Truman Show
Drama
4
He's the star of the show--but he doesn't know. Jim Carrey wowed critics and audiences alike as unwitting Truman Burbank in this marvel of a movie from director Peter Weir (Witness, Dead Poets Society) about a man whose life is a nonstop TV show. Truman doesn't realize that his quaint hometown is a giant studio set run by a visionary producer/director/creator (Ed Harris), that folks living and working there are Hollywood actors, that even his incessantly bubbly wife is a contract player. Gradually, Truman gets wise. And what he does about his discovery will have you laughing, crying and cheering like few film stories ever have.
