A ridiculously redemptive finale negates almost all of the preceding dramatic tension and resurrects a cloying Richard Marx chestnut to boot.
Wesley Morris
Whose life, Wesley asks in the movie's narration, is he living? Judging from all the sterile office and apartment space and his mile-long face, I'd say Bruce Willis's in "The Sixth Sense.''
Bill Goodykoontz
There aren't a lot of laughs in "Good Deeds," and it could have used more of them.
Joe Leydon
An otherwise unremarkable pic that takes what feels like a very long time to unwind a drearily predictable storyline.
David DeWitt
Good Deeds honors goodness, which isn't at all a bad thing, and it's not without moments of genuine feeling. But by the film's end, after watching a seemingly infinite number of dour close-ups of...

Best Tyler Perry Movie Ever!!!!!!! It had to be his best movie ever. Not just his best movie, it was the best movie ever made. Highly recommend. I love it so much I'm going to download it over and over. Better yet I'm going to buy it. To think, I thought madea goes to jail was good, but this was over the top. This is the first time Tyler Perry wasn't the victim. He actually did something wrong. That's when I really got into it. I could watch this hundreds of times and never get sick of it.
Good Deeds, Great Movie This movie is a "must see". Tyler did his thing. This movie goes to show us that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Despite troubles and heartache situations, if we have patience and stand strong, God will pull us through. He'll never put more on us than we can bare, and if we stand strong through it, He'll have something good awaiting...I loved it
Good Tyler Perry is so talented, I've only seen one of his movies I swore I wouldn't rewatch. This one isn't as impressive as others but it's definitely one to rewatch and own. Usually his movies have the strong undertone of his religious belief and this one doesn't have that. I'll definitely be adding it to my collection.
TAMLUVAPEZ I LUV IT, I CRIED DURING THE PART WHEN CPS TOOK HER DAUGHTER, I'M GOING THRU THAT RITE NOW, I WAS GOING THRU ALOT OF DIFFERENT EMOTIONS WATCHING, I LOVED IT, I HOPE THERE'S A PART 2, LIKE,"WHY DID WE GET MARRIED!" AWESOME MOVIE!!!
Horrible movie Its like a long soap opera.Tyler Perry cries like four times in this movie for nothing. I dont see the point of putting the brother in the story and not resolving his issues. Dont waste your time watching this.
Dude...what lol I was literally saying wtf the whole time....and what is the brothers problem! but it was good movie. loved it.
good deeds i love u movies u make my family laugh.where love u.
Good Deeds Tyler your movie was great and a wake up call for me cuz I'm the character you played just with a whole lot less money... Have watched it twenty times in less than a week hoping that something will lock in...
Tamara This was an awesome movie. I cried threw the movie. Well done Tyler.
Good Deed Indeed Not necessarily the best movie but something about that I NEVER grow tired of this movie. Personally I think the world of Tyler Perry. Although I love Madea I realy enjoy him as a non Madea character.
Quality Acting A grown up movie with life changing decisions, showing adults in and out of love. Heart wrenching romantic drama.
Best movie ever!! Such a good movie well all Tyler Perry movies are good!
Pleasantly surprised I thought it was going to be a typical cookie-cutter kind of movie, but it was really great and I actually got my family to sit and watch it too.
Amazing movie Tyler Perry continues to do well. I liked this movie and would recommend others to watch.
