Sick but fun.
Rene Rodriguez
Gore hounds will appreciate Hobo with a Shotgun, but it is so wan that even squeamish viewers will shrug it off with a yawn.
Colin Covert
The movie just blows chunks.
Ted Fry
It's all in good fun and sometimes a little clever; "Hobo" shoots low and scores an explosive spray of guts, if not glory.
Ty Burr
A merrily blood-soaked homage to the vigilante action movies of the 1970s and early 1980s, "Hobo'' is a good idea in theory that's brought down by the banality of its practice.
Sean O'Connell
"Hobo" breathes new life into the demented realm of grindhouse cinema - a world that had grown pretty stale to this point.

Even connoisseurs of the genre (and I confess, I'm not one) will find the cheesy chopfests and gratuitous gore less than exciting as one urban prosthetics-strewn bloodbath begets the next.

Perfect addition to the "Grindhouse" set While it may not be a big budget Hollywood film, Hobo with a Shotgun offers great entertainment. It is meant to be in the same style as "Planet Terror", "Death Proof", and "Machete", over-the-top gore and violence in bizarre and weird ways to keep you entertained, and in that respect it hits the nail on the head. Definitely not a movie for the screamish or faint of heart, but for anyone that loves this genre, this films on a car ride to hell and your riding shotgun.
Absolutely brilliant! Jason Eisener is a visionary. He has created some amazing characters in this film like The Drake and The Plague. Also, the dynamics of the villainous family are surprisingly deep. Visually stunning and deliciously gorey.
Why? Fell asleep with the tv on, woke up to this trash. Unbelievably awful. Depraved and senseless garbage.

Wow Okay, for obvious reasons this film is awful, but if you go into it knowing that you might be surprised and entertained... is what i would say if this wasn't the worst movie I've ever watched part of, a larger part then I like to admit. Seriously do not watch this. Ever. Just rip your toe nails off with rusty pliers and kick lemons around. you'll thank me later.
Stupid Rented this movie from a Video store. Super dumb don't waste your money.
Fun! If you like Grindhouse Movies, you'll love this movie!
Best camp movie ever! Perfect combination of all things that make a great movie. Score one for Canada!
Extremely good B movie with above B dialogue. The story is amazing and the volume of gore is right at home with the style.
Over the top. An extreme amount of violence and action with an excellent lead actor. Perhaps the most badass old man on the planet.
Cinematic masterpiece! A "touching" story from the heart.I movie i can finally take my kids to.
The best Watch this movie if burning children interests you. It sure got me.

Ong Bak 2: The Beginning
Muay Thai martial arts master Tony Jaa returns to deliver a bone-breaking barrage of knees and elbows in this action opus that finds the star not only delivering blows in front of the camera, but calling the shots behind it as well. Despite the title's indication of this film as a sequel to 2003's Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior, this movie has no narrative connection to the events of the earlier work, despite the fact that both films star Jaa.
