An astonishment, an engineering feat, and, finally, a folly.
Amy Biancolli
It's only the latest indication that Christopher Nolan might be the slyest narrative tactician making movies today.
Rick Groen
Pretty good, not bad, but brilliant it surely ain't.
Lisa Kennedy
Inception is a boldly constructed wonder with plenty of -- as one character describes it -- "paradoxical architecture."
Chris Vognar
I found myself admiring the movie's stubborn adherence to its own universe and logic.
Peter Rainer
Nolan, like Cobb, is an assiduous extractor, and he knows how to wow audiences. But scaling big and thinking big are not the same thing. And dark, just because it's dark, isn't more artistic than light.

Like his protagonist, Nolan excels as an implanter of subversive ideas. This time, alas, he didn't dig quite deep enough for them to take root.

Love this movie. I can't believe that anyone could give it a poor rating, maybe said people are just not in to this sort of movie. It was refreshing to see an original idea be made into a movie. Rather than a remake, a comic, a book or stupid board game.. It was very thought provoking and worth watching again.

Spectacular film that's a thinker for sure Wonderfully original and expertly crafted. I'm afraid Chris Nolan will turn into the same pompous jerk-director like James Cameron and Mel Gibson with all of his successes (if he's not already, which I think he is) but that doesn't mean he can't make stupendous entertainment. This one's got the latter in spades. Highly recommended.

Inception stumps Me I find this movie a little disorienting and disjointed (hard to follow) but still compelling. I enjoyed it, but it took 3 or 4 viewings to get a handle on it. I appreciate the intellectual challenge. A sequel could potentially be even be better still. Keep the excellent cast intact.

Another master piece by C.N a Emma Thomas Can't believe Christian Bale wasn't the main actor in this like all others they've made. Watched at least 500 times just like the Batman's trilogy, the Prestige and esc. Loved Leonardo though one of his best like Body of Lies.He played the part well can't wait 4 Batman 4 because of Joseph Gordon-Levitt going to be great as Robin Going to be hard to top the others, but knowing Christopher Nolan it'll be even better than I hope Just wish they'll be another Inception The more you watch this one the better it got
Same plot over and over. Leo though a great actor has played the same role over and over, tortured soul haunted by the past of his dead lover etc i.e. shutter island ............tired tired tired. Great cinematography however, great plot And Tom Hardy wowser.

A rare breed In film making. This movie is a one way ticket into your cerebral cortex, & you got yourself a 64oz cup of "Mind F*** Juice" & your sippin on it pretty deep ok? The movie is DEEP. REAL DEEP. It screams "ORIGINALITY" It's just one of those moments where you have to a) stop talking on your cell phone, b) stop texting whoever, c) don't talk d) be quiet, shut up & watch the movie. It is SO HARD to find a good movie in this day & age. Every idea is being used over & over again!! That is why I like "Inception".

Probably one of the most overrated movies in recent memory Most people who love this movie are people who are new to speculative fiction or just have never seen one produced really well. This movie is beautiful to look at with a very creative idea propelling the narrative. However, this idea is needlessly complicated (the series of "kicks" starts to get annoying and boring and inconsistent. None of the character arcs are especially compelling or interesting, which makes the whole endeavor mostly just of academic interest rather than an emotionally invested one. I love smart science fiction and this was trying very hard to be that. But while the technical and directing competence is admirable, the script and ultimately the underlying concept is not strong enough on its own to warrant such an "epic" movie with more than a little contrived tension. Definitely watch it, but lower your expectations. It also should have been 30-45 minutes shorter. Can't believe it made as much money as it did.

Overall Astounding Film Chris Nolan and his crew really did well by taking their sweet sweet time with this movie (10 years on the script alone). If you're looking for non stop in-your-face action, this movie may fall shirt of your expectations. If you're into Christopher Nolan's Batman reboot style of action, story, and character building, rent this movie. This film has a wonderful cast (talent and looks), great cinematography, amazing effects, and a story that is nothing less than original. Worth multiple views.

The Best Movie in the world.. Face it. My title says it all! The story line was 10 out of 10 for me!! Brilliant! AWESOME, Acting had to be the best acting I have ever seen, Action was perfect, plot twisting was such an intelegant move that Christopher Nolan did. The Directing was the best directing I Have EVER seen, Dialog was completely necessarily well written.. should I go on?... OK, The best movie I have ever seen. And to be frank, I rented it for a car trip, and I was entertained ^_^ RENT, BUY, DO WHATEVER TO WATCH THIS MOVIE XD

Thought provoking and mind changing This is literally one of the best movies ever with a wonderful line up of well know actors and talented actors. You're gonna have to watch it over again to fully get a understanding for the movie, but it's worth doing because you will like it even more. This movie will have you looking at life in a entirely different way due to the questions we thought to never truly look at. Plus, it has an amazing music and fight scenes that if looked at properly, is very unique.

Best movie of all time!!! Christopher Nolan will always be the best movie director ever!!! This movie was the best movie I have ever seen in my whole life!!! Love the cast, characters, story, and a very interesting concept. This is also the most suspenseful movie I have seen. Truly the best movie ever!!!
Sublime Ambition Sublime Ambition The thing about Christopher Nolan, that to me distinguishes him, is that he makes movies with premises that are intimidating, especially for the spoon fed twenty first century audience, but that are also surprisingly accessible. And that is the case with this film. What I love about this movie is its ambition of subject and its ambition of form. Oh, it is so ambitious! And I love how it was so bravely tried. But it is too ambitious for its own good. The saddest thing here is that the execution is not perfect, and it needed to be perfect. Spoiler alert: To wake up out of all three or four layers of dreams there is a scene in which there are layered three or four different scenarios, all consecutive, where a feeling of falling is produced, consecutively in each layer, one right after the other, to bring them back to reality. The idea that a falling feeling, like one gets when tipped back on a chair too far, is what always works to wake one up is brilliant; and the idea of creating a massive falling feeling in a dream to wake one up is brilliant; but I don't know what to call the idea behind the ultimate kick created in the film, it is sublime.

Confusing but Enjoyable Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy & Memento) takes you into the world of dreams... Its captivating and you can easily be lost, so pay attention. Leonardo DiCaprio (Blood Diamond) really makes this role his own. Joseph Gordon Levitt (500 Days of Summer), Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises), and Ken Wantanabe (Godzilla & Batman Begins) really stand out as well.

LOVE this Movie!!! This is definitely one of if not THE best movie ever!!! I absolutely love Christopher Nolan, he is a genius! He's my favorite director! love pretty much all of the films he's made. This was a different, creative, and just an amazing, unique movie that I love to enjoy again and again!

The Dark Knight Rises
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. MPAA Rating: PG-13 - 2012 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Legendary Pictures Funding, LLC.
