Anthony Lane
The trouble is that, as the plot quickens, any cleverness withdraws, to make way for the firecrackers of the climax. That is not Black's forte, and his movie duly slumps into a mess.
Christopher Orr
Shane Black excels at writing witty, self-referential, pop-infused banter, and there is no actor working today who is better suited to delivering it than Robert Downey Jr.
Lisa Kennedy
Iron Man 3 feels like an exploitative mulching of present-day anxieties. The script is ambitious but not wise enough to be rightfully cathartic. It's more Cuisinart than art.
Peter Rainer
The action, directed by Shane Black, ranges from passable to interminable.
David Edelstein
Black is good at giving his heroes a morbid, self-hating edge and even better at coming up with hateable villains.
Matt Nielsen
Decent but could have been better It's not Iron Man 1 or Avengers, but Robert Downey Jr pulls of Tony perfectly like always. You could tell the feel was different with Shane Black compared to John Favreu. I thought Ben Kingsley was a great Mandarin, but the twist. Marvel I think kinda jammed that in there and could have made it better and more of a mind battle for Tony/Iron Man.

Phenomenal series I agree with previous reviews each iron man juz keeps getting better, and further builds the awesome story line for the action packed series...Robert Downey Jr is an excellent actor and in my eyes as well as of those of many others whom I think agree with me, he is indeed "THE IRON MAN" besides he and Gwyneth Paltrow really bring the characters to life and I don't think anyone else could do it better then they do

Meh.. Never was a fan of iron man. I had high hopes for this one... I mean who didn't think the trailer was awesome?? Ben Kingsley had swag, iron mans house blew up, and it just looked awesome. Now I'm gonna tell u something... If u haven't seen this and Dont want spoilers, Dont read this review.......WHAT WERE THEY DOING????? THEY TURNED THE BEST VILLAIN, THE CLASSIEST VILLAIN I HAD EVER SEEN AND TURNED HIM INTO A PUNCH LINE??????? THAT WAS NOT COOL!!!! AND WHO REPLACED HIM BUT A COMPLETE NERD TAKES HIS PLACE!!!

Decent movie for anyone with no knowledge of the comics The movie had great potential as the trailers set up what could of been the greatest Iron Man movie to date. Unfortunately the writing was shabby at best and what they tried to do in terms of a twist was just pure dissapoontment to anyone who has read understands what he Manderin is as a villian especially to someone like Tony Stark. Its still better than movies like Fantastic Four or even the Spiderman reboot, but given what the Marvel Cinematic universe has delivered so far it was dissapointing.

Greatest Marvel series ever!!!!! Trumped only by the first in this Marvel series masterpiece, Iron Man 3 refuses to follow the trend of sequels being "sub-par" compared to the first one. Since the debut of the first Iron Man movie each has only built upon the greatness of the last and are all equally outstanding. Robert Downey Jr. should forever be regarded as the best fit for Tony Stark.

Good Butt... It's All Wrong. Bad Guys Aren't Who Their Supposed 2 B And Y The H*ll Did They Turn "War Machine" N 2 "Iron Patriot" "Iron Patriot" Is A Bad Guy N The Comics. He's Norman Osborne (iron patriot) Leader Of The "Dark Averngers" That's Some Dumb Sh*t Man. He's My Fav And Yall F***ed Him Up... Do Us All A Favor. Make The Next 1 Moore Like The Comics Please?? Thank U

Better than the second but... Still pretty forgettable. Silly villains (other than ben kingsley)... You dont need a super powered villain to be suspenseful... just look at dark knight, lex luthor etc. Here it was just an excuse for spectacle. Entertaining for the couple of hours but then easily forgotten.

Better than Man of Steel, years behind Dark Knight If you liked the Avengers, you will love this film. As a person who was spoiled by the Batman films made by Chris Nolan, these super hero movies just don't stand up to the plate. But this was way better than Man of Steel and way better than Iron Man 2. All in all, its nice to add the Bluray release to your collection if you're a fan of the genre and want to have it. Everyone else...rent it or borrow it from a friend.

Could have been WAY better. I was kind of dissapointed with this Iron Man. It was too.... childish. The previews set it up to be a dark, intense movie with excellent action and a great story. Unfortumately, it was extremely light and not very intense. The Mandarin was supposed to be the worst foe Iron Man had ever seen. Here, he was a punchline. Also, the suits were insanely nerfed. In the first one, the suit took a tank shell to the face with barely a scratch.

Worst of the three. This Iron Man movie was by far the worst one. There are random scenes where tony's suit doesn't have power right at time he needs it(which implies lazy writing to end a scene). He continues to use the same suit when he easily could have told Jarvis to send him a different one. Humanizing Tony Stark is one thing, but it's done in the most boring possible way(generally when he's talking to kids). It would have made more sense to have him freeze up during a fight or when his life was in actual danger. 2 stars

Disappointed Movie was plain boring too many plot holes I get it "is Tony a hero without his suit?"who cares the movie is called "iron man" for a reason It was more like a wanna be comedy instead of an action flick (not much action what so ever) also felt short to my expectations of one of the.most important villains of the iron man franchise The mandarin was a let down.. In other. Words I didn't like it one bit 2 hours of my life I'm never getting back.. marvel is falling pretty short to dc batman and supermans movies

Okay(THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS) It's a good movie. Not the best Iron Man, but it's a overall decent Marvel movie. I was looking forward to a better Iron Man, but it's alright. I recommend it to kids ages 10+. There are a lot of action sequences and destruction. No sex, but it is hinted at in the beginning. To the comic book fans out there, u may be surprised when it comes to the Mandrian scene. XD Overall, it is a good movie, it could be better.

Phenomenally Best Iron Man yet! Robert Downey Jr is outstanding in this film. He struggles with the human side of being a hero/weapon. He also struggles with his identity, Tony Stark or Iron Man, comes to realize one cannot exist without the other. Great story, very emotionally engaging with the audience. Action packed & an unforseen twist at the end. You never see it coming either. 5+ stars easily.
Awesome movie Awesome Movie! Great Action! Great acting! Great special effects! I saw it in 3D! I also saw The Desolation of Smaug at the I Max theater! Both of the movies are the best movies I have ever seen! I love PG-13 movies! I still watch PG. Like Percy Jackson. Love the movies and the books! But I am only nine years old.
