Kidnap
Sonia (Minissha Lamba) lives with her mother, Mallika (Vidya Malvade) and grandmother (Reema Lagoo) because her parents had divorced when she was ten. A fortnight before her eighteenth birthday, she picks an argument with her mother about her coming home late after the Christmas Party. Her mother tells her to stay within limits and arrive home in time. She is reluctant to abide by the rule and after much negotiation demands that she would listen to everything if she gets to meet her father. Then she leaves home and goes swimming in the sea to vent. Far into the sea, she vanishes underwater.

When Inspector Mahadev Bhosale (Sanjay Dutt) is asked by his seniors to form a hit squad to take on the Mumbai underworld, he recruits Shiv Narayan (Rana Daggubati), an honest and brave police officer who had been suspended for an encounter killing. Together, Mahadev and Shiv along with others in the "Department" take on underworld don Sawatya (Vijay Raaz) and his gang. Sawatya, inspite of many exhortations by his number two, D.K.(Abhimanyu Singh) and D.K's fiesty girlfriend, Naseer (Madhu Shalini), does not hit back at the police.

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey
Circa 1930 in Chittagong, male teenagers are asked by British soldiers to play football elsewhere. Since there is no other ground they decide to approach widower school-master Surjya Sen and join his band of freedom fighters. Since Gandhi had announced a ban of violence for one year Surjya patiently waits then raises Rs.18000/- With this amount he procures guns, four vehicles, 25 bicycles and inducts two women, Pritilata and Kalpana Dutta in his team. Their plan is to surprise the British by disabling telecommunications and transportation, liberating jailed comrades, taking guns and ammunition from the armory and holding Britishers hostage at the European Club. Before they could carry out their plan both women are instructed by their respective families to re-locate to Calcutta. Surjya nevertheless decides to simultaneously carry out the attacks but his group is unable to hold any hostages due to the holiday of Good Friday and the raid on the armory gets them rifles but no ammunition. They do succeed in cutting off communications and transportation; however, the British do recover and devise plans to capture the group. With no food nor shelter, little or no ammunition, how long will Surjya and his group elude the determined British?
Taal
Taal is a classic romantic movie about Manav (Akshaye Khanna), a young and dazzling son of an NRI billionaire (Amrish Puri), who comes to Chamba (Himachal Pradesh) for the first time with his family. There he sees Mansi (Aishwarya Rai), a gifted folk singer and dancer, who flatters him with her beauty. They both fall in love eventually and commit to each other. But one day, when Mansi along with her father Tarababu (Aloknath), who is a highly respected folk singer in Chamba, visit Manav's family in Mumbai, they are insulted and thrown out of the house. Infuriated, Mansi vows that she will become someone to reckon with in Manav's world of ruthless materialism. Mansi meets Vikrant (Anil Kapoor), a music composer and the owner of an entertainment company. She joins him and transforms into a successful singer and dancer. Manav traces Mansi's rise to fame and Vikrant helps her achieve it, falling in love with her in the process. Will Mansi be able to get back with Manav? Or will Vikrant be the love of her life?

Sudha Mishra (Dimple Kapadia), a 67 years old, divorced woman that leaves the responsibility for taking care of her house to Sumit (Sumit Suri), her niece's fiancee. The most important instruction given to Sumit was to "Feed The Fish & Water The Plants". His very acceptance into the family was dependent on this instruction. When she returns a month later to her Vasant Kunj house, everything seems to be in order till she opens the bedroom door and a woman wearing white, wailing loudly. To figure out how this witch woman ended up in her bedroom, a recap of the madcap events occur, beginning 30 days ago. We follow the story as the house changes hands from Sumit's fiancee to an eloping couple named Nirav (Anand Tiwari) and Gopa (Deepti Pujaari), to Ravi (Manu Rishi), a scoundrel property broker's hands as he seduces Gopa away from his unsuspecting friend Nirav. From Ravi, the house is taken over by a Haryanvi Jaat named Rajpal (Vishal Sharma) who turns out to be a cross dressing Kathak Dancer. Bizarrely the house then lands in to the hands of a tribal family from Mizoram. What transpired in those thirty days, does Sudha Mishra ever find out and what is the mystery of the witch woman are the questions that we are left with.

The film narrates the story of Singh Saab (Sunny Deo), an honest collector, who believes in carrying out his duties diligently. Chhotu is an intelligent boy about 12 years of age from Rajasthan. Born into poverty, he is pawned off by his mother to work at a roadside food stall under the somewhat kind owner, Bhati. The mother says repeatedly "School is not in our destiny". Once, he sees the then President of India, Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam's address on television. He learns that Kalam was a poor boy like him, who sold newspapers. Inspired by a message from President Kalam, that anyone can change his or her destiny by education Chhotu starts studying on his own whenever possible. The movie is about how there is no such destiny and such supposed destinies can be changed by one's own hard work.
