The father-son duo of Dharam and Gajodhar (Dharmendra and Bobby Deol) are the biggest con men in Banaras. Their happy-go-lucky existence involves drinking and pulling off hilarious cons on unsuspecting people. The only hitch in their perfect albeit notorious life arrives in the form of Paramveer (Sunny Deol.) A brawny and honest NRI from Vancover, Paramveer lands in Banaras claiming to be Gajodhar's elder brother separated from him at childhood. The duo accepts Paramveer into their fold only to exploit his muscle power to serve their con games. Meanwhile, Gajodhar falls in love with Saheba (Kulraj Randhawa), a beautiful girl from Punjab. As their romance reaches its peak, her brothers arrive and forcibly take her away. Paramveer saves the day with a crazy plan to win the girl back for Gajodhar, which leads them to the rustic heartlands of Punjab. What follows is a rollercoaster ride showcasing the Great Indian Joint Family, eccentric relatives, marriage mayhem, and a classic case of mistaken identities!

Radhey Mohan is a street-side Romeo with a gem of a heart. He is known for bashing up goons to help the repressed and less fortunate. Despite being an ex-student, Radhey hangs around with his friends outside his college and rags new students. In the bunch of new students he rags, one of his victims is Nirjara, a traditional Brahmin girl. Radhey falls for Nirjara's simplicity and her grace. Hopelessly in love with her, he dreams of marrying her one day. When he expresses his love to Nirjara, she refuses him outright. One day Radhey saves Nirjara's elder sister from adversity. Following this incident Nirjara's misconceptions about Radhey clear up and she develops a soft corner for him. Just when Nirjara reciprocates his love, a gang of thugs attacks Radhey. He loses his mind and is admitted to an ashram where, it is hoped, the traditional means of treatment might have a therapeutic effect on him. But Nirjara's memories haunt Radhey and he makes several efforts to escape. He is arrested and imprisoned in an asylum.

School going Chandrabhan lives a poor lifestyle with his widowed mom in a small town in India, and has a childhood sweetheart named Lata, who is the daughter of the wealthy deputy. Chandrabhan is heartbroken when Lata leaves town, and he has only a timepiece left with him as a token of their friendship. Years later, Chandrabhan has grown up, and has found employment in a musical instrument repair shop run by his friend, Prakash. Chandrabhan is fascinated by the poems of Renuka Devi, and wants to meet her. He does get to meet her and is pleasantly surprised when he finds out that she is none other than Lata herself. Before Chandrabhan could plan anything else, he finds out that Prakash is getting engaged to Lata.

The super-hit trio of Dharam (Dharmendra), Paramveer (Sunny Deol) and Gajodhar (Bobby Deol) reunite, this time in the United Kingdom. Paramveer opens up the "Yamla Pagla Deewana" club and re-encounters in a visit with Dharam and Gajodhar, after their last presence in Canada. Now, the trio are back with double the masti, double the fun, double the action, with the presence of a fool (Johnny Lever), and double the romance, with the Suman (Neha Sharma), and Paramveer's girlfriend (Kristina Akheeva).

Rishabh and Pari are both deeply in love with each other. A wealthy young man, he works in an advertising agency while she is a doctor. Both marry and soon Pari is pregnant. Pari has a dream to build a hospital for children. Tragically, Pari meets with a fatal accident, and both the baby and she die. In her will, Pari donates her heart to the hospital. Rishabh is devastated, and opposes the plan to donate the heart. The hospital, however, goes ahead with Pari's last request. Rishabh, after a bout with depression, begins Pari's project, a hospital for sick children. Meanwhile Pari's heart has been transplanted in a young woman named Dhani. Dhani and Rishabh's paths cross, and Dhani is instantly attracted to him, but Rishabh does not even look at her, and is immersed in Pari's memories.

King Baadshah Khan falls in love with Benazir, a member of a rival clan who has defeated him in a game of buzkashi.
