Unique Had a hard time seeing Sexy Russell Crowe in this. It was a cold shower on my all time Hollywood Fantasy. The constant singing was sometimes painful but overall it was a great and heart wrenching story and a refreshing change of pace. Oh, and it's really LONG

AMAZING This movie is spectacular . I saw it couple months back in theaters and I must say its beautiful . I cried . I highly recommend this beautifully done remake .

Saddest movie with a happy ending Well done. Great film! Good story, music, characters, everything. Russell crowe does a bit of the park and bark thing; very stiff, but I was impressed with Hugh Jackman. Good good good!

Just does not work, over the top and hammed up. See Chicago or better yet any movie musical by Alan Parker "Evita" especially "The Wall" just a clumsy big budget heartless mess, I really wanted to see this however it was painful to sit through 3 hours, skip it! Rediculous and over blown, save your money and time, if your a fan of the music you will most likely enjoy it however Russell Crowe though a fine actor never should have done this mess he cant carry a tune here .

Loved this Movie!!! I loved this movie (It is actually a musical)!!! This movie is wonderfully done, all of the actors nailed their characters perfectly and handled the demands of such a movie well. I have to warn people this is a musical, not a musical like the Phantom of the Opera or Chicago. The entire movie is sung from minute 1 to min 157. It is hard to get used to at first but you quickly find yourself enjoying the movie and understanding the songs very well. If you are a person that completely hates musicals, watch the 1998 version with Liem Neeson and stop hating on the musical.

Great Job Les Miserables, the musical, came out while I was a high school band geek in the late 80's. I fell in love with the story and music then and later saw the musical on stage and eventually read Hugo's book. What a timeless classic story, so beautifully set to music and now, so beautifully made for film. I had read lukewarm reviews of the movie which made me stay away from watching it for a long time out of fear of disappointment but finally watched it tonight. All of the actors in it were marvelous and did a great job musically as well. I had heard some people didn't care for Russell Crowe but I thought he was very good, I couldn't have pictured anyone better suited for that role. Anne Hathaway was great, as I expected, as was Hugh Jackman. The star surprises were the actors who played Cosette, Marius and Eponine and even Gavroche. Stellar filmmaking.

Mediocre singing at best Thr quality of the cinematography and acting is undeniable. However, the singing is nothing better than mediocre. Few characters in the movie even sing acceptable, let alone good or excellent. There is too much talk singing and "act" singing that the musicality is almost entirely lost at times. Save yourself the time and go to an actual broadway production of this. Shamr on you who gave this 5 stars. Open your ears!

Absolutely Wonderful From heart-felt pity to uplifting numbers to gut-wrenching emotional performances, this film adaptation of the long running Les Miserables is truly one of a kind. If you enjoy musicals on film, you will love Tom Hooper's adaptation. Certainly one of the best films of 2012.

Loved it I've always wanted to watch les miserables on Broadway but never got to it. I also hate musicals (except Oklahoma!) but this one was incredible. What I love best is the constant mention of God and its No wonder this novel is timeless.

Amazing! This movie is amazing, and there's nothing that anyone can do to make it better. It's perfect; filled with romance, tragedy, and so much more, this movie is a must-see. Best film of all ime. Hands-down.

LES MIS Les Mis was a great movie.I cried five times during that movie. Great acting by the actors and Anne Hathaway. No wonder she won an Oscar. Overall great movie and teriffic ending.

What the what? Two and a half hours of singing. I had a feeling that's what it was going to be, but silly me I trusted the trailer. The trailer which showed all of the 3 or 4 whole actual talking scenes. This had to be one of the most atrocious movies I've ever seen, and the singing wasn't even good. The older version with Liam Neeson was awesome. I'll have to rewatch that version to get the effect. A shame, this could have been so good...

Best movie ever In telling you. This is a great tale of love, Acton and any other thing you can put in there. You just have to get pass all the singing. But I'm a musician and it doesn't bother me at all. Actually I've come to love these songs.

One of the best musicals ever created The very first live musical film adaptation ever, a spectacle that any history, film, or musical buff would appreciate. This adaptation of Victor Hugos Magnum Opus of a novel (arguably the greatest story of the 18th-19th century) is undoubtedly the best to date. 5 stars.

Amazing The singing was amazing! This is one of my favourite movies ever. The only thing that would've made is better is if they didnt cut out scenes :( I wish we could've seen the full drink with me scene.

Too much There's too much singing, even for a musical. The singing was mediocre, which only worsened its quality. My class lost interest five minutes into it.
