I found myself dreaming of the days when Willis would take a rest from Die Hard-ing to do character cameos of unexpected depth and pathos: Pulp Fiction, Nobody's Fool, and a few others. Now he...

Yes, it's a B movie sci-fi thriller, but not many prestige pictures have this much going on underneath the surface.
Michael Phillips
That first hour cooks. And the second hour brings Emily Blunt into the story, which is a fine thing for any second half to offer.

If the whole thing leaves you rubbing your temples, just a bit... well, this headache's sort of worth it.
Anthony Lane
The reasoning behind all this may not reward prolonged inspection, but Johnson is smart enough to press onward with his plot, leaving us with neither the time nor the desire to linger over the...

Looper Great movie for a Saturday night. Could've had a better ending, but all in all, I give it a 4/5. I rented it today, and I'll probably buy it tomorrow, good movie. Not a must see, but a good movie

Refreshing I have honestly lost hope for most movies now days, it;s very rare that I even go to a movie anymore. Overtime I have come to prefer TV shows because 1. their longer and 2. Since it's longer you get more time to be invested and connected to the characters. With that being said this movie was refreshing although not great it was good, something different, sometime it's nice to watch a movie that makes you think.

Took a while to get interesting The thing that sucks about time travel movies is that they don't generally hold up very well due to the logic of it all... This suffers from a bit of that as well. And the setup for the story was laboriously slow IMO. However, once the writer gets out of the way of trying to setup the story, it's actually pretty entertaining. I started thinking I would not like it; by the time it was over, I thought it was worth recommending. I ended up enjoying it so much, I would give it 5 stars if not for the small time travel plot holes that bother me.

Levitt has talent! Original story, always keeps you guessing with a twist at the end, great acting (especially by Joseph Gordon Levitt) and good action. Too bad it didn't do better at the box office because I really consider it one of the best movies of the year. Better than hunger games and on par with skyfall.

Yaaaawn There are movies that come across as boring if you're unable to appreciate the artistic value of them. Then there are movies that seem artistic only if you're unable to recognize how mind-meltingly stupid and boring they are. Looper falls into the latter category, and not even a grade A performance from Bruce Willis can save it.

Phenomenal This movie was fantastic, artistically well thought out movie. You want to make fun of a movie go make fun of all the horror film that don't require any thought process what so ever. After all how hard can it be to make a film about gore blood and sheer violence? Looper had a lot of thought put into it and I appreciate that. Don't forget about the great acting.

Really great... Wish I bought instead of rented. This movie puts a lot up there and does it very well from the dramatic, to the SciFi to the moral. While the twist becomes obvious earlier than the movie reveals it, who you root for and certainly why changes at least two times as the plot and it's intricacies unfold. Amazing flick. Wish I would have box-officed it. Definitely worth an HD rental or purchase - the SD one left something to be desired on my n7. Enjoy!

Surprisingly Good! At first I expected a pretty formulaic story line of a future-gone-wrong + bad time-travel story, but with explosions, cool effects, and Joseph Gordon Levitt doing his best Bruce Willis impression. Got that but also a pretty good story too. Some predictable parts but a fairly unique story in the end.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt IS Bruce Willis The story was surprisingly good for a time travel movie. But I was expecting the whole thing to fall over on the basis of Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt being nothing alike and thus breaking the illusion that they are the same person. But nope, he mimicked Bruce Willis to a degree I was genuinely surprised by. By the time they finally showed the transformation sequence, I'd already been sold.
