Hidden in the Woods
One of the most controversial horror films ever to emerge from Latin America, HIDDEN IN THE WOODS is 21st century grindhouse horror cinema at its most shocking. Deep in the Chilean countryside, Ana and Anny live with their deformed brother and are subject to their father_s perverse and sadistic whims. After a dispute with the police leaves a wake of death and mutilation, they flee and find refuge in a remote cabin hidden from society. Meanwhile, a crime lord, convinced they have stolen the massive stash of drugs their father was hiding, sends a violent pack of thugs to find them. Based on a bizarre true story and not for the faint of heart, HIDDEN IN THE WOODS (currently being remade in the U.S.) features extreme violence, prostitution, sexual assault, buckets of blood and even cannibalism.
Here Comes the Devil
A couple's son and daughter inexplicably reappear after being lost overnight on a desolate, cave-riddled mountainside. As the children withdraw and begin to exhibit strange behavior, their parents quickly assume something sinister happened to them. But after hearing an ominous local legend, the concerned mother and father begin to realize that their children may have fallen prey to something inhuman -- and that this dark, unstoppable evil has now returned home with them.
Animals
Pol is a teenager with a seemingly calm life. He lives with his brother, and is still in high school. However, Pol has a secret: Deerhoof, a cuddly teddy bear who thinks, moves around, and with whom he shares his best moments. Life goes on as normal until the arrival of Ikari, an enigmatic student who seems to be hiding something. Pol is fascinated by his new classmate and attracted to the dark side he harbors. An inexplicable death and a series of strange events will transform the meek student's routine into a fantastic adventure, which will take over their lives.
Julia's Eyes
Julia, a woman suffering from a degenerative sight disease, finds her twin sister Sara, who has already gone as a result of the same disease, hanged in the basement of her house. Everything points to suicide, but Julia is compelled to investigate what she intuitively feels is a murder case. Determined to retrace her sister's final steps, she is drawn into a maze of hidden threats and spiraling dread - a dark world that seems to hide a mysterious, malevolent presence. As Julia begins to uncover clues to the truth of her sister's death, she is convinced that someone is watching her - someone who means her terrible harm. Those close to her begin to disappear and then to die. Her sight gone, confined to her sister's house, Julia finds herself trapped in a nightmare from which she cannot awake. Will she survive?
Penumbra
Combining stylistic elements of classic Polanski with a contemporary vision that rivals anyone working in horror today, the Bogliano brothers' PENUMBRA is a superbly realized South American horror slow-burner. Marga is a highly motivated, arrogant and successful businesswoman on assignment in Buenos Aires — a city she hates and whose people she loathes. While in the Argentina capital on a day the whole population is waiting to view a rare solar eclipse she must also find a new tenant for her family's decrepit apartment. Rapidly losing her patience waiting for one applicant she runs into the mysterious Jorge lurking outside the front door of the place who informs her that he has a client willing to pay four times what she is asking in rent. There's one catch — the paperwork must be signed immediately. As greedy Marga waits to complete the transaction several of Jorge's associates suspiciously appear at the apartment ready to strip the wallpaper. And what's behind the décor signals a startling fate worse than death -- or should that be life!
Cold Sweat
When Roman's girlfriend disappears he expects to find her in the arms of another man. And find her he does, but there is no lover on the scene, only a pair of crazy old men keeping her locked away in the basement of their crumbling mansion. Armed with wild-eyed political ideals and case after case of decades-old and highly unstable dynamite. The villainous duo are conducting illicit experiments on a string of young women lured to their home via the internet and if Roman cannot free his young love she is likely to end up in pieces, thanks in part to a generous slathering of nitro-glycerine. A delirious old school horror picture with the most memorable villains in years at its core, Adrian Garcia Bogliano's COLD SWEAT was a huge hit at SXSW thanks to its creators' wild imagination and sense of showmanship. Loaded with memorable characters and stylish action, COLD SWEAT is a shocker that never fails to entertain.

Something is alive deep in the shadowy forest. Can a frightened outcast find safety in the darkness or does the ultimate terror wait in the most unexpected place of all?

The Empty Hours

4Some
Two ostensibly ordinary middle-aged couples are linked by more than just a lifelong friendship, a shared house in a small town and same-aged adolescent children: they are linked by love. Both men, who are work colleagues, sincerely love their wives, but they both also harbor a secret yearning for the other's wife. When, by a stroke of fortune, the foursome finds themselves on an almost uninhabited island in the Caribbean, it's just a matter of time before their long-suppressed feelings come out.
Leap Year
Laura, a young journalist living an isolated life in a cramped Mexico City flat, is not lucky in love. The banality of her daily life stands stark contrast to her nightly pursuit of sex and love. These short-lived affairs barely take the edge off her isolation, but then she meets the brooding, would-be actor Arturo. Their chemistry ignites feelings in Laura that leave her deeply troubled. The two embark on an increasingly dangerous sadomasochistic relationship in which pleasure, pain and love merge. Their physical relationship seems headed for a very dark place as her secret past resurfaces, pushing Arturo to the limit in this intense, powerful and at times deeply unsettling movie.
Sidewalls
SIDEWALLS is a clever romantic comedy examining with charm how the architecture of a city conditions the lives of two of its residents. Taretto pays homage to the city of Buenos Aires as he reflects on how urban chaos, as well as new technologies, can unite people but also keep them apart (as the sidewalls of the title). Mixing animation, photography and graphic art he reveals the characters' isolation and anxieties that are a staple of modern life in a noisy city that nonetheless has an irresistible charm.
Torrente: Lethal Crisis
Meet Torrente. He's rude, crude, lewd...and a real private dick! The four action-comedies that make up the wildly popular Torrente series (The Dumb Arm of the Law, In Marabella, The Protector and Lethal Crisis) feature the comic exploits of José Luis Torrente (Santiago Segura), a lazy, offensive and shamelessly politically-incorrect former cop who continues to "fight" crime as a private detective. Writer, director and star Segura takes no prisoners as his exasperating alter ego engages in all manner of shady outrageousness in pursuit of his own brand of justice. The Torrente series is the most successful movie franchise in Spanish film history and a box office sensation around the world. Now Torrente's antics are available in the US on digital streaming platforms for the first time.
In Lethal Crisis, the world's most uncouth private eye is framed for a crime he didn't commit in the riotous fourth installment of the Torrente series. Tossed behind bars, Torrente (Santiago Segura) devises an inspired plan to escape and seek revenge on the man who sent him to prison. "Lethal Crisis" sold more than 1 million tickets in its opening weekend in Spain, making it the biggest domestic hit in Spanish box office history.

In The Protector Santiago Segura is more shocking than ever in his uproarious third escapade as bawdy private detective Torrente. A popular and beautiful politician plans to expose the evil-doings of a multinational corporation. Hoping to silence her, the corporation's top executives decide to hire the most incompetent detective they can find to act as her bodyguard. Naturally, Torrente is perfect for the job.
