"Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol" is sheer hurtling mechanism-and it's great silly fun.
J. R. Jones
As usual with the series, the movie combines a plot line a toddler could understand with gadgets that would baffle an engineering Ph.D.
Richard Corliss
I'm thinking it, so I might as well say it: Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is no Fast Five.
Glenn Kenny
...it's pretty much state-of-the-art.
Colin Covert
[Bird's] fresh touch gives breathless energy, tremendous excitement and, above all, humor to what could have been a wearying genre exercise.
Alonso Duralde
It's a rousing gasp machine that gives the flagging franchise the kick in the pants it sorely needed, and it marks the most impressive segue from cartoons to features since Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

Powered by Cruise's moxie, Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol proves that in a Hollywood action-ride culture drenched in fake adrenaline, it's cathartic to encounter the real thing.

Overall a fine movie I'm not familiar with the Mission Impossible series, so I didn't have any preconceptions going in. I enjoyed it as an action film, and while it was a little slow toward the end (all the plot lines tying together through dramatic exchange), the conclusion picked up and was appropriately done. Thought it was a good performance by all involved.
Great actor bad director I totally agree with a comment below (Andy) this movie is so sadly stupid. The plot make no sense it's like putting a puzzle piece that don't fit but put it anyway. Secondly I understand it's a "high tech" movie but it's so fake. Only two desk security to pass by to enter the Russian Kremlin? The only good thing in this movie is the gadgets.
Entertaining Not a bad movie at all. Pretty entertaining, however I wouldn't call it one of the greatest movies either. Would I recommend it, certainly!
The IMF really isn't that special Tom Cruise has done it again; he produced a bore-fest. The movie never really finds its rhythm. The payoffs for the failed attempts at intrigue (credit to Brad Bird) were lacking any type of style. Was it significantly better than than 2 and 3: Not much. Tolerable but nothing to rush to see. The film is filed with elementary-level suspense, gadgetry, villians and plot. The first mission impossible was great and the best. Done superbly. However, Tom Cruise is under impression that his success is due to his talent: an egregious mistake on his part. His ego is always on screen and Ethan Hunt never appears. His co-stars are a bunch of wannabes and unfortunately, they are just looking for break. After watching this film I undersand by directorr Joe Carnahan decided to depart: The IMF really isn't that special anymore.
Surprisingly good, even with Tom Cruise I normally can't stand Tom Cruise, but this film was a lot of fun. Good action, interesting locations, and a reasonably interesting plot make this a good movie for a night in.
Mission Impossible. LIKED IT. Action packed.Loved it ,liked the parking garage, real cool. DIG IT!!!!
Extremely disappointing... I love the M:I movies, and I'm even one of the last three people on Earth who still calls himself a Tom Cruise fan... But this movie totally sucked. I give it two stars for the cool cars and good scenery. And that's being very generous.
Great action sequences but story drags Though most of the movie is plenty fast and entertaining, the story line slows down in parts.specially the ending.
No brainer Great action, muddled plot but Tom Cruise still can impress even after his personal life overshadowed the professional I enjoy(ed)
Oh so lame! Laughable, although the laughs were only served to highlight than the truly silly premise and execution.
Predictable = boring A very expensive roadrunner cartoon. That is the depth of the characters. So every time the script tried to provide motivation for the next bit of plot - I just didn't care. The explosions and the tower scene were all fun, like watching Spiderman without his outfit. Finally, I couldn't wait for it to end.
Good Good movie. I personally liked it but was boring at beganning little bit. Renting isnt the best idea. Downloaded on my friends account. Better buying dvd
Awesome This was definitely the best of all the Mission Impossible films & I really enjoyed it.Especially on the Galaxy Nexus with the amazing 720p HD display. To bad Google doesn't have the option to buy........Hopefully that will change soon,I would certainly buy more than I rent!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome These movies always deliver. This one was great. Loads of action and a great story. And one of my favorite parts: no strong language. Its refreshing to watch an intense action movie and not have to listen to cussing start to finish.
It's a good movie Good movies but, I think it missed the boat...empty threats, lack of revenge satisfaction.
