The good news is they'll inherit a fortune if they marry. The bad news is they have 18 months to have a baby! The world's favorite odd couple - shrill, sentimental drag queen Albin (Michel Serrault) and his long-suffering mate Renato (Ugo Tognazzi) - are back in this outrageous French farce. In their latest romp, the boys' financially-troubled St. Tropez transvestite cabaret, La Cage, can be saved only if Albin rises to the conditions of a relative's bequest. The will stipulates he must marry and father a son - or else the vast estate will pass to his virile, greedy young cousin. There's inspired lunacy as flamboyant Albin contemplates a fate worse than death - will he be condemned to abandon his ladylike ways once and for all? The Secret of the Grain
The Secret of the Grain is a touching and resoundingly humanistic story set in the rustic port of Sete in southeastern France. Slimane has worked in the same shipyard job for over 35 years, when his growing dissatisfaction prompts him to try to open his own restaurant. His dream seems unbelievable, but his contagious conviction and persistence work their way into the hearts of his loyal but dispersed family; the four children from his first marriage, his ex-wife, current girlfriend and her bright, outspoken daughter, Rym (played to great acclaim by the stunning newcomer Hafsia Herzi). A grand film about ordinary people, The Secret of the Grain is a deliciously slow-burning indie drama about fate, food and family.

Moliere (2007)
Comedy
2
In 1645, the French playwright and actor Jean-Baptiste Poquelin -- better known as Molière -- mysteriously disappeared for several weeks, and this lavish comedy drama imagines a scenario that could explain what may have happened to him. At this time, Molière (Romain Duris) is touring the French countryside with his traveling theater company, and he's yet to be recognized as one of the continent's great authors (or achieve significant financial success). Molière is put in jail after skipping out on some unpaid debts, but is freed after his fine is paid by two strangers. Molière discovers his benefactors are acting on behalf of Jourdain (Fabrice Luchini), a very wealthy man who has a beautiful wife, Elmire (Laura Morante) and two lovely daughters. However, Jourdain has fallen head over heels for Celimene (Ludivine Sagnier), a gorgeous widow, and he's written a short play in order to demonstrate his feelings for her. Jourdain needs someone to help him polish his script and serve as an acting coach, and he's recruited Molière for the job. Needing the money, Moliere accepts, but he poses as a man of the cloth, Monsieur Tartuffe, to keep his identity a secret. Molière soon realizes that Jourdain's talent exists only in the rich man's imagination, and that Jourdain already has a rival for Celimene's affections, the charming but duplicitous Dorante (Edouard Baer). 2007 Fidelite Films, Virtual Films, Wild Bunch, France 3 Cinema and France 2 Cinema. L'Amour Fou
The public life of Yves Saint Laurent was as extravagant as it was decadent, as a design prodigy and then the grand coutourier of a fashion empire he influenced fifty years of style -- but few are familiar with the private life of the legend. In Pierre Thoretton's L'AMOUR FOU, Pierre Bergé, the man with which YSL shared four decades of his life and love, reflects on the equally extravagant history of their personal relationship. Framed around the 2009 auction of the priceless, elaborate art collection amassed by Yves and Pierre personally over several decades, this extraordinary documentary provides an unprecedented look at the life of a mythic personality, whose personal life matched his public for elegance, extravagance and passion. An official selection of the Toronto and TriBeCa Film Festivals, L'AMOUR FOU is an un-missable film event for fans of documentary film and fashion die-hards alike.
Park Benches
With over 86 speaking parts, Bruno Podalydès has assembled an all-star, ensemble cast including Catherine Deneuve, Mathieu Amalric, and Chiara Mastroianni in this film about the everyday lives of Parisians living in the wealthy suburb of Versailles. Park Benches is a witty, incisive examination of contemporary France and urban alienation that was a huge success on its theatrical release in France. The film is the final entry in Podalydès' "Versailles Trilogy," which also includes A Night in Versailles and Only God Sees Me. Denis Podalydès plays the protagonist in all three films, but each stands on its own and can be seen without being familiar with the others.
Inspector Bellamy
Two of the giants of French cinema, Claude Chabrol and Gerard Depardieu, team up for the only time for the director's 50th and final feature film, a wry thriller about a police commissioner trying to balance professional instinct with family duty. Once again, Paul Bellamy (Depardieu) and his wife are spending their vacation at her family home in a quiet town. But just as they're settling into their reassuringly predictable holiday routine, his perennially troubled younger brother shows up, joined by a mysterious stranger seeking Bellamy's protection.
