Christy Lemire
The young married couple does something cruel, and then the idiot frat guys next door respond, and back and forth it goes. I laughed, but not uproariously and not often enough.
Christopher Orr
It's Apatow without the Apatow, all ornaments and no tree.
Lisa Kennedy
As as tensions escalate, Teddy and Peter's partnership proves just as central and perhaps more vulnerable than Mac and Kelly's. Score one for growing up.
Liam Lacey
Rogen's always a dominating presence, but [Byrne], who showed her comic chops in Bridesmaids, comes close to stealing the movie here, in an uncorked performance full of volatile, liberating mischief.
Wesley Morris
One of the great surprises of Neighbors is both the gentle way with which it handles a nimrod party animal like Teddy and how good Efron is at playing him.
Peter Rainer
It's gross, all right, but rarely funny -- unless jokes about alcohol-laced breast milk is your thing.

Fortunately, Rogen and Byrne make for an appealingly frazzled and conflicted couple.

Horrible movie Volger language and just pretty nasty. The only good thing about this movie is Zac Efron and I cant stand Seth Rogan he can act at all and he's not even funny. Sorry but this movie was such a big disappointment to me. Just saying I dont even think it deserves one star thats how bad to me it was.

Garbage. A waste of time. I was excited to watch this movie. But within the first few minutes of watching I realized I had made a mistake. Seth Rogan is not the least bit funny. I'd rather watch my cat throw up at the end of my bed at 3AM than watch another Seth Rogan movie. There was a glimmer of hope with the "Robert Deniro characters" scene, but then Rogan's voluminous jowls filled the screen and something crude bubbled forth from his cake-loving mouth and I was forced to turn it off. If you're looking for better entertainment, grab a long stick and poke through the landmines at a dogpark. It might be a better use of your time.

Much disappoint I love Seth Rogan and Zach Efron... but dear lord. It was awful. I laughed more watching the gag reel than I did the whole movie. It was just so awkward. Like uncomfortable awkward. Not once during the movie did I actually laugh out loud, and that bummed me the hell out. How the hell did this get any good ratings? Once again, love the actors to death, but what the hell were they thinking when they thought to put this in theaters?
Seriously bad I heard this was good, my buddy said it awful. He was right. Anything funny was in the trailer, which you can watch on YouTube for free. The awkwardness of Rogan is almost cringe worthy, and the plot is nonsensical in an incredibly boring way. Go watch 40 year old virgin again if you want Seth Rogan
F***ing Stupid I am a fan of Seth Rogen and Zac Efron and with all of the hype about this movie, I was genuinely excited to watch it....I should have read a book instead. The "funny parts" aren't THAT funny (a little chuckle but not a knee slapper) and they were instantly drug down to stupid the longer they drug on..if I could give it 0 star I would but I suppose 1 will just have to do. Sorry guys. Just being honest.
