David Jenkins
A garish and poorly filmed chop-socky frolic that makes about as much sense as an Escher painting viewed through Vaseline-smudged Ray-Bans.
Kevin Lee
Perhaps such phenomenal slaughter is best left to the imagination.
A.O. Scott
The problem is that the fight sequences -- the only reason anyone sees a movie like this in the first place -- are muddy, chaotic and boring. Even diehard fans of this genre would be well advised to skip this one.
Jeannette Catsoulis
This saga, set in Berlin, is more committed to its bloodletting than to any of its characters.
Dan Kois
A movie that provides plenty of jolts but precious little pleasure.
Kyle Smith
This movie knows exactly what it is: Gonzo silliness about bodies turned into human salsa.

Shouldn't throwing stars be silent? If they're gonna sound like gunshots, why not just use guns?

Bestest. Movie. Ever. Dude- I could watch this movie every day & never get tired of it! I absolutely LOVE it! The stunts & fight scenes & graphics are mind-blowing. And Rain is SOOO HOTTT!!!! I can't get enough of that weapon either. I love gory movies, & this one is way up there w/o bein too unrealistic. It's just plain the $#!+ ... Now I'm totally into martialarts movies, but none can compare to my first love, Ninja Assassin. Not for the squeamish or the faint-of-heart, but incredible if you can stomach it. ~*~Speed up or get outta the fast lane~*~
One of the best ninja movies For those that do follow martial art movies as much as I do this movies was outstanding just to see Sho Kosugi as the head of the ninja clan it was so awsome Sho Kosugi for those that don't know made tons of Ninja movies in the 80's like Enter the Ninja and many others it was nice to see him in action again after so long and the blood and gore in this movie was the added bonus.
Worth the price. If you are looking for an action filled gory 98min ninja stompfest then this is it. Story line is easy to follow, characters are simple, and the action sequences are awesome. Wouldn't watch it with children or a squeamish girlfriend, this is definitely a Saturday with the guys movie.
Gegsgsgwvsgakahxmahdb Crazy, awesome, jacked up, bloody. I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liked it alot It was a great movie...I agree with it being a bit too gory but otherwise full of action and suspense.
Not much ninja but a whole lot of assassin. I like kung fu flicks. This is more like a slasher horror movie to me. They keep the camera too close for you to actually appreciate the moves. And there's way too much cgi to take it seriously. It's too bad. The story is actually okay, but there are better one's than this.
Nice I love the movie and RAIN .. He was great.. The best ninja movie i ever see.. Luv RAIN..
Great mall This is a very good movie I recommend it for anybody who likes martial art movies!
Greg R. Not your usual martial arts movie. Great plot and action packed fight scenes. No subtitles which is rare in a martial arts based genre. Overall a great movie to watch.
I Love Rain!!! Loved this movie even though Rainand the girl didnt end up together. The action was amazing.
One of my favorite movies Great balance of drama, fighting and effects. I always enjoy watching this movie.
