Anthony Lane
Kennedy specialists will glean nothing new, and those hoping for sobriety will flinch at the camera's intrusions.
Owen Gleiberman
This episodic drama is set in Dallas during the three days after the JFK assassination, and some of it is highly charged.
Ella Taylor
Somehow, all this commotion adds up to aimless inertia, in part because the movie lacks a point of view - let alone anything fresh to propose about the assassination or its peripheral players.
Kyle Smith
Takes one of the most traumatizing events of the American 20th century and turns it into a trivia digest.
Steven Rea
Parkland is history as existential despair.
Tom Long
For those who remember that dark day, it will inevitably have impact. But this was too much of a story for one film.

I can see this film being shown in high school, as a way to fill up two-or-three periods. But I can't see anyone wanting to see it on their own. Especially if they already lived through it once.

Persecuted
Drama
1
America's most respected religious leader, John Luther (James Remar), is the last obstacle to the passage of legislation that would require all religious leaders to give other faiths equal time. When Luther refuses to support this bill, sinister political forces frame him for the murder of an innocent girl to get him out of their way. As an evangelist turned fugitive, Luther must stay alive long enough to prove his innocence, seek vengeance against the girl's murderers and expose corruption at the highest levels of politics and religion. It's a mission that brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that will threaten the entire Christian community in America.
The Way Back
Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris (Apollo 13), Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe) and Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan (Atonement) and Colin Farrell (In Bruges) star in this epic saga of survival from six-time Oscar-nominee Peter Weir (Witness, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World). Inspired by an incredible true story, THE WAY BACK begins in 1940 when seven prisoners attempt the impossible: escape from a brutal Siberian gulag. Thus begins a treacherous 4,500-mile trek to freedom across the world's most merciless landscapes. They have little food and few supplies. They don't know or trust each other. But together, they must withstand nature at is most extreme. Their humanity is further tested when they meet a teenage runaway who begs to join them on their quest. A compelling testament to the human spirit, this gripping wilderness adventure is "Peter Weir at his hypnotic best" (Telluride Film Festival).
The Way
A powerful and inspirational story about family, friends, and the challenges we face. Martin Sheen plays Tom, an irascible American doctor who comes to France to collect the remains of his adult son (played by Emilio Estevez), killed in the Pyrenees while walking The Camino de Santiago, also known as The Way of Saint James. Rather than return home, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage to honor his son's desire to finish the journey. What Tom doesn't plan on, is the profound impact the journey will have on him. Inexperienced as a trekker, Tom soon discovers that he will not be alone on this journey.

Hurricane Season
Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) delivers a superstar performance in this powerful story based on real events. Amid the wreckage of Hurricane Katrina, one coach attempts the impossible: create a winning basketball team using players from five of the hardest-hit high schools in the area. Featuring Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy), Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Shad Moss aka Bow Wow (Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift), rap megastar Lil Wayne, and Bonnie Hunt (Cheaper by the Dozen films), Hurricane Season takes an honest look at disaster and shows how heroes can rise from the most devastating of circumstances.
Grace is Gone
In one of his most acclaimed performances, John Cusack makes an astonishing transformation as Stanley Philips, a sad, disconnected man unable to tell his young daughters their mother, a soldier, has died in Iraq. Instead, he takes the girls on a road trip, where their innocent charm helps him rediscover a healing joy he thought he'd lost forever.
Ginger & Rosa
London, 1962, when the Cold War meets the Sexual Revolution. Two teenage girls -- GINGER & ROSA -- are inseparable. They skip school together, talk about love, religion and politics and dream of lives bigger than their mothers' domesticity. But the growing threat of nuclear war casts a shadow over their lives. Ginger (Elle Fanning) is drawn to poetry and protest, while Rosa (Alice Englert) shows Ginger how to smoke cigarettes, kiss boys and pray. Both rebel against their mothers (Jodhi May and Christina Hendricks). Meanwhile, Ginger's pacifist father, Roland (Alessandro Nivola) seems a romantic, bohemian figure to the girls. He encourages Ginger's 'Ban-the-Bomb' activism, while Rosa starts to take a very different interest in him. As Ginger's parents fight and fall apart, Ginger finds emotional sanctuary with a gay couple, both named Mark (Timothy Spall and Oliver Platt), and their American friend, the poet Bella (Annette Bening). Finally, as the Cuban Missile Crisis escalates -- and it seems the world itself may come to an end -- the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered. Ginger clutches at one hope; if she can help save the world from extinction, perhaps she too will survive this moment of personal devastation.
