Best movie I've seen in years.... This movie was an incredible find. Prisoners is the kind of title that makes me shy away from seeing a movie like this in the first place in that I very rarely will see a film that I assume is about the law or prisons. The Shawshank Redemption is the only one that comes to mind. Writers and producers need to consider this in the future when deciding on a name for a film, as I imagine that many women like myself ( middle-class and a mother ) feel much as I do. I wish that I had given this movie the support it deserved when it was in theaters. Not only was the subject matter both morally and emotionally weighty, but it supported the immense performances that actors like Jackman and Gyllenhaal both are capable of giving.
Nathan Papandrea
Well acted movie is not for everyone. This movie has great performances across the board. It is well written with a good but disturbing story. Not for everyone but it is a good movie
Joyce Williams
Riveting! Disturbing subject matter, but extremely relevant. Excellent acting. If you like movies that keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the one. Loved the ambiguous ending.

Great Plot! Great Movie! A Must See! This movie was interesting from beginning to end. Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal made this movie so much better than it should have been. The ending was abrupt, but at least I could imagine what might have happened next. If you're a fan of mystery and suspense this is a good one to watch.
Kimmron Thomas
Unforgettable It's a excellent performance, and was more thrilling than anything else drama or horror, and gave an amazing twist unlike any other.
Nathaniel Grimes
Very good Well done. Great acting, good story. The ending is abrupt, it is well worth the watch.

One of the best thriller of all time Very powerful, emotional, and at times disturbing movie. The character development was very well executed and all the characters deliver incredible performances. Hugh and Jake are becoming 2 of Hollywood's most brilliant actors. The ending I thought was well done and really was the icing on the cake. Their are several different themes and a lot going on in this movie. Sit back and relax and make sure you can dedicate time to enjoy this master piece. .

My Favorite Movie This movie is amazing. I've watched it twice and could watch it again. The acting is superb and that can be said for all of the actors. The storyline is very well thought out and puzzling but after analyzing it enough you see that everything has a purpose. After watching the movie the second time around, I found myself Googling for symbolism and other questioning themes. The cinematography phenomenal at worst. Overall absolutely worth watching and undeniably my favorite movie.

What would you torture for a klondike bar? This is actually a pretty good film except that it begins to lose me by the end... I wanted to be conflicted about Hugh Jackman's actions throughout this film but by the end they almost seem justified and I feel like that was the wrong direction. Great film with great actors and at times rather thrilling / thought provoking as to what I might do in that situation
Excellent My God, that was the best movie I have ever seen, I have studied alot of criminal justice, victimization, psychology and sociology, and pretty much everything that I have learned was put on to a movie screen, Hugh, jake and all of the characters knocked it out of the park I have never cried that hard over a movie in my life, please take the time to watch this

Jean Negulesco continues his classic run of forties film noirs with this tale of a con artist who falls for the mark he is trying to fleece. The great John Garfield commands the screen as grifter Nick Blake, who returns to New York after the war, only to find heartache and betrayal. Heading west, Nick hooks up with fellow con men Pop (Walter Brennan) and Doc (George Coulouris), who need a Romeo to sweep recently widowed Gladys Halvorsen (Geraldine Fitzgerald) off her feet and out of her sizable inheritance. But it's Nick who starts falling, and now that he wants out of the scam, will that fall turn into a dive? Or will Gladys pay the price for Nick's change of heart?
Garfield is his usual astonishing self, it's Fitzgerald who proves a revelation, as she stabs at the heart of noir's darkness by perfectly impersonating pure innocence. Faye Emerson plays the fatale, as Nick's sultry ex.
