Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer
Filmed over the course of six months, this film tells the incredible story of three young women - Nadia, Masha and Katia. As members of the feminist art collective Pussy Riot, they performed a 40 second "punk prayer" inside Russia's main cathedral. This performance led to their arrest on charges of religious hatred and culminated in a trial that has reverberated around the world and transformed the face of Russian society forever. With unparalleled access and exclusive footage, this film looks at the real people behind their now famous colourful balaclavas. Following the bizarre and intricate twists of the trial, we observe three young women fight back against a justice system that seems impervious to logic. From their family and friends we learn what transformed these women from political activists in to modern day icons. As Nadia, Masha, and Katia defend their convictions from a cage inside the courtroom, those Pussy Riot members still at liberty plan new guerilla performances and cultivate a protest movement across the globe. Moving from farce to tragedy and back again, the film explores how political and religious forces contrived to make an example out of three young artists who stepped out of line. But with Nadia, Masha, and Katia, Russia's ruling powers got more than they bargained for. Are you a ready for a Pussy Riot?

Midsummer Night’s Tango
Tango was born in Buenos Aires and no one dances tango as passionately as the Argentineans do – that is at least what the Argentineans themselves believe. Tango is as Finnish as sauna and skiing – that is what the famous Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki and many of his fellow countrymen are convinced of. Two countries, two opinions, two musical traditions. "Midsummer Night’s Tango" is a humorous, light-hearted road movie, accompanying three Argentinean tango musicians as they leave the milongas of Buenos Aires behind to discover tango in faraway Finland. Singer Chino Laborde, guitarist Diego "DIPI" Kvitko and bandoneonist Pablo Greco are the stereotypical Argentinean tango musicians. They are noisy, passionate and one hundred percent convinced that their music is the only true tango. Travelling through Finland, they dive into a completely new world. Long strips of forests, hundreds of lakes, bright summer nights and, above all, slightly shy and quiet people who play this foreign music called Finnish tango. "Midsummer Night’s Tango" is a music-laden, humorous cinema documentary, capturing the many comic and charming moments when musicians from two worlds come together – to discover that they all share the same love for tango music, however different it might sound.
Captive Beauty
From Medellín, Colombia comes the feature-length documentary, CAPTIVE BEAUTY. It's an intimate portrait of four women, jailed for murder, kidnapping, revolution, and con-artistry, who are brought together by a beauty pageant held inside the prison walls. The weeklong pageant transforms the prison into colorful and controlled mayhem, and serves as a jumping off point to explore the contestants' lives. Leave the prison to meet their ex-boyfriends. Visit their hometowns. Walk with their victims through the scene of their crimes. You will get to know four women--- Catalina, Leidy, Diana and Marta----who grew up when Medellín was in the throws of violence. Candid and intimate interviews with each of them----about their childhood, their crimes, their notions of femininity, beauty, and innocence---help narrate the film. Diana is compassionate and girlish in one moment, and in the next she recounts stabbing her brother-in-law in the neck 36 times. Leidy confesses to a robbing spree through little towns across Colombia, and weeps as she describes her regret in leaving her son without his mom. Combining intimate pageant footage from inside the prison, with home videos, family photos, and provocative interviews with their friends, families, and enemies, CAPTIVE BEAUTY brings these women's stories to life. It is a tale both universal and entirely unique, sexy and brutal, where themes of innocence and femininity are turned on their heads and the criminal, for a day, becomes a queen. Familias por Igual (Families Like Yours)
The ability to visualize same-sex parent families is one of the critical issues facing our society. Education is the first step in a cultural struggle to liberate people from a tradition that has denied them basic rights based on their sexual orientation. This is the motivation behind this documentary - to demystify and eliminate the fears and prejudices so that our children will be born in a more just and free society.
Pope Francis - A Pope for Everyone
Jorge Mario Bergoglio is the first Jesuit Cardinal and Latin American to be consecrated Pope of the Catholic Church. On March 13, 2013, the then Archbishop of Buenos Aires and now Pope Francis made history by being elected to replace Benedict, who stepped down in abdication. In his first address as Pope, Francis humbly asked: "And now let us begin this journey, Bishop and people. A path of brotherhood in love, of mutual trust. Pray for us always, and for one another. Let us pray for the whole world, that there might be a great sense of brotherhood. And now I would give the blessing, but first I want to ask you a favor.
Before the Bishop blesses the people, I ask that you pray for the Lord to bless me.
The prayer of the people for their Bishop. Let us say this prayer - your prayer for me - in silence". In this important work is a documentary that exposes the keen thinking and humility that guides the life of Francis, his simple lifestyle close to the village, and his deep knowledge of theology. With these qualities Bergoglio has earned the trust and sympathy not only of the faithful, but also of much of the public. These remarkable attributes trace the path to his consecration as our Pope. This documentary shows the particular style of Bergoglio, his years as head of the Catholic Church in Argentina, and aimed at the construction of a new age of religion for the world. After his consecration and since the early days, Pope Francisco shows a clear intent to drive the structure of the Catholic Church with an austere attitude, with strong social concern and a clear intention to promote a new relationship between man and God.

El Rati Horror Show
"The Rati Horror Show" is a documentary portraying the dramatic story of Fernando Ariel Carrera, an ordinary man unjustly convicted to 30 years of prison --not by mistake but deliberately- by means of manipulation of a Judicial Case. The movie takes as a central point the way in which the Fernando Carrera's case was set up: the manipulation and alteration of evidence at the scene; the manipulation by the police of the testimonies of the few witnesses called to declare; the manipulation of National Media by Rubén Maugeri, key witness and president of the 34th Precinct Friends Association. On the other hand, we show how Fernando Carrera lives his days inside prison, knowing he is another victim of police excesses and a Legal System that unjustly convicted him.
Bull Runners of Pamplona
Every year, for 8 days in July, a herd of massive fighting bulls power down cobbled streets, along with a petrified mass of thrill seekers. The dark beasts roar and skid; men with red bandanas are scattered like skittles. It's all about the primordial thrill of the scariest chase in the world. Years in the making, this sumptuous HD documentary gets unprecedented access to the Running of the Bulls; the camera so close you smell the fear and hear the snorts of the raging beasts. Men slip, trip and curl up in terror as the huge animals toss and trample them. In crisp frightening detail this visual feast serves up the chase and its warriors - like Conor Canton, who faces the bull whose horns go through him like a knife through sausage. The high speed HD cameras race along over head cables above the streets recording the action from impossible angles, offering intimate and lasting views of the taught relationship between bull and runner. Bravado and beer create a heady mix to ward off nerves. Runners ask the saints for protection, as when you run the bulls sometimes tragedy happens. The tension builds and then, through the dust come the bulls. It's the moment to put away fear and start to run and above all, start calculating how not to suffer the sharp slicing of a furious horn or the dull blow of a hoof with 700 kilos of weight behind it. Every summer young men cross continents to reach the ancient city of Pamplona and find glory dancing on the horns of a bull. It's a ceremony dating back to 1385, when the first wild bulls were run into town. The locals await the maestros, the expert runners, who run the bulls through the streets, and on towards the bull ring at the end. The Maestros pass the proud tradition down from father to son, teaching them how to keep the bulls running in the right direction, exhorting them to keep a cool head. Julien Medina has run for forty years, now, having been gored, he struggles with giving up. Yet behind the glory of tradition lurks pathos: protesters calling for a bullfighting ban lie in the streets, daubed in black and red. And young Nicholas Ward lies in hospital choking back tears. What began as a tourist trip ended with him being trampled by a bull, his back broken in three places. As photojournalist Jim Hollander puts it "Death is in the streets and the only way to capture the race's spirit is to photograph something dripping." Some will never run again, none will ever forget the experience. All have their own motivation for wanting to make a public spectacle of playing with death. A documentary with all the drama, colour and vivid crispness of a feature film.
