I watched this movie with three chatty strangers on [a] Thursday night in an otherwise empty theater. Universal couldn't say "no." Looks like that's our job now.
Ben Sachs
This spends little time on exposition and doesn't go in for any false pathos; compared with most recent comic-book movies, this is lean, unpretentious filmmaking--and to my taste, a lot more fun...
Tom Russo
Too bad director Robert Schwentke ("RED") and the writing team handling the 3-D screen adaptation don't hold up their end, failing to do much with a premise that felt like it could rate with, say,...
Manohla Dargis
Mr. Bridges is almost always fun to watch, but even his squinting and Slim Pickens-style whooping can't make the time pass faster.
Richard Corliss
A half-hour into the film, and it feels like the eighth day of jury duty.
Dana Stevens
With its low-stakes chase scenes, obvious-from-the-get-go villains and nonsensical plotting, this feels more like a 96-minute-long episode of Scooby-Doo that's been laboriously translated into...

Liked it. I actually enjoyed this movie. After the bad things I heard about it I went to see this movie expecting it to suck, but was pleasantly surprised. It isn't great by any means, but it was a very enjoyable movie to watch when we couldn't decide what movie to pick. A good rental. For 10 bucks? A decent purchase.

Fun Sci Fi movie with great one liners Suspend your disbelief and be willing to overlook plot holes and this movie entertains. It is full of law enforcing Sci Fi action and witty one liners from Jeff Bridges. Do watch if you are a fan of Jeff Bridges or Men in Black. Pass if you are bothered by Ryan Reynolds or Kevin Bacon. They are a little whiny in this movie.

A Fun Movie but Predictable This movie had a very similar feel to Men In Black but not as well developed. Action-wise it was fun. Didn't have a lot of "WOW!" factor. The story was somewhat predictable. Once I figured it out, the rest of the movie kinda bored me. If they ever do a sequel, the story needs to be much stronger. BUT, it was a fun movie to watch mainly because of the interaction between Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. Not sure why but Mary-Louise Parker is kinda hot in this movie.
So very sad When I saw the previews for this movie in the theatre I knew I had to see it. I waited patiently, and when the moment came to see it I was ecstatic, only to finish the movie in disappointment. Jeff and Ryan are two funny men but the movie was slow, boring, and predictable. The plot had so much potential but didn't live up to the hype. I'm truly sorry I had to pay to see this movie.

As others have said, "if you like MIB..." Summed up as exactly, if you like Men In Black, you'll like this... Yes, there are plenty of cliche' jokes and slap stick, but it works if you just watch and have fun... Apocalypse Now, it is not... But much much better than A LOT of the crap now adays :) The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed :)
