Jonathan Rosenbaum
In a fun house like this the elaborate tortures seem to leave behind the real world of pain and suffering for the realm of slapstick; they're the kind of horrors that make you scream and laugh at the same time.
Susan Walker
Quite possibly Saw II sheds enough blood to satisfy horror aficionados.
Peter Hartlaub
As it was in the first Saw, audiences are faced with insane leaps in logic that sabotage the last part of the film.
Roger Moore
Saw II only has one ambition -- to make us squirm. And it does. Just don't be surprised if you need to switch to an electric razor after this.
John Anderson
Saw II -- better-acted than its predecessor, which isn't saying much -- is so gratuitously, sadistically violent, and to such little end, that it finally falls over dead on the far side of obscene.
Kyle Smith
Saw II has teeth, and this house-of-horrors franchise has legs, though they're manacled to the radiator.

Awful I'm a huge fan of horror. This is awful. You won't find a bit of realism here. Really stupid series. I'm glad it's over. If you want a similar violent movie see Hostel instead, it's far better than this turd.
Great movie It's not all about blood or gore. It has a nice story to it. Not as bloody as I thought. I will be watching all of the saw movies soon. Also good job Google for fixing the streaming service on this. I didn't waste $3 on renting a movie that doesn't play. I will be using your service again. Also though can you guys put Sd and hd om all the movies? Instead of renting hd on a cell phone all the time wasting $1...
Scary ;0 Great Movie whatever you do you need to whatch Saw 1 first(;

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) might be dead, but his traps live on in this fifth Saw entry, which finds the series' production designer David Hackl at the helm for his debut directing gig. Costas Mandylor reprises his role as Hoffman, the detective whose involvement in the string of grisly murders turns out to be more than meets the eye. Picking up where the fourth entry left off, Hoffman is revealed to be a hidden accomplice in Jigsaw's grisly games of death, which look to be continued by the lawman. The plot bounces back and forth from the beginning of their relationship to the present, as Agent Strahm (Scott Patterson) delves farther into the case. Also in the cast are Dexter's Julie Benz and One Missed Call's Meagan Good as victims of another one of Jigsaw's lessons in morality. Saw IV scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan return to pen the screenplay for the Twisted Pictures/Lionsgate co-production.

Horror
3
When he arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, the Reverend Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine "exorcism" on a disturbed religious fanatic. An earnest fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, certain his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcized before their terrifying ordeal ends in unimaginable tragedy. Buckling under the weight of his conscience after years of parting desperate believers with their money, Cotton and his crew plan to film a confessionary documentary of this, his last exorcism. But upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it is soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he encounters there. Now, too late to turn back, Reverend Marcus' own beliefs are shaken to the core when he and his crew must find a way to save Nell -- and themselves -- before it is too late.
