Though it's clear we're meant to be moved by the big finale, the sight of these two together is so unsettling it's hard not to start rooting for the asteroid.
Richard Roeper
Steve Carell and Keira Knightley make for one of the most unlikely and yet one of the most touching romantic couples of the year.
Lisa Kennedy
This is an exceedingly promising directorial debut for Scafaria, who adapted the winning romance Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist.
Ian Buckwalter
The genuine sweetness of the friendship that develops between these two wins out over any of the movie's failings.
Stephen Whitty
A movie that may be, in its own small, weird way, the most bizarrely bittersweet and oddly beautiful romance you've seen in quite awhile.
Joe Williams
The problem with this nice-try comedy is the nice-guy protagonist.

OMG This was a great story with amazing characters! I do see how other people may complain about the slow pacing, especially after how quick the tempo of the movie was in the beginning, but I found it perfect. There wasn't any parts that made me think, this movie was too long. I just wish it didn't end how it was supposed to end.... I AM SO SAD RIGHT NOW!

Caught Me by Surprise Didn't know what to expect when I watched this. I knew it would not be a typical mainstream Hollywood movie being a Focus Features film but I didn't expect it to affect me the way it did. Sad but uplifting, and it has an awesome soundtrack and score. My tears at the end completely caught me off guard! I love Steve Carell in this. Definitely a movie I'll add to my collection.
Spellbinding Story Imagine yourself at the end. This is a spellbinding story of 2 people lost and found. If you have any human empathy you will enjoy this. I found myself in tears many times. Will touch all but the most hardened souls.
Excellent The movie is well executed and certainly worth your dollars , but the cliche ending leave you feeling a little empty. Still an excellent film, but it was so close to being top tier that I am bashing a bit because I wanted to love it more. Settled for great, could have been epic. Shoutout to Keira Kightley for doing a great job in bringing "Penny" to life, really good job.
Racquel Brooks, Very entertaining ..funny I really thought this movie was entertaining. It invites you into the lives of two people who are different but are looking for the same thing. Keira's ...character was awesome, hopless romantic , witty and real ,I love watching her. And as for Mr. Steve Carell.. he is such a gentleman...and I appreciate his good guyness. Its a Tasteful movie to watch with a close friend or even alone...I give this movie 2 THUMBS UP! great plot
Amazing The movie was fantastic; casting was spot-on, soundtrack was touching and conveyed such great emotion, and the writing was amazing. Funny, touching, and a little thought provoking. Watch it with the person you'd spend the end of the world with.
Fantastic movie I was really surprised by this movie. I honestly thought it would be bad. However after watching it i was blown away. The story and the actors are wonderful. It really captures the full spectrum of human emotions.
Deceptive Synopsis This is a good movie BUT it's not a comedy. It almost isn't even a romantic comedy. It's more like a romance movie with some funny moments. I enjoyed it, but the rest of the group had hoped for something a lot funnier. I did too but I made the transition as the movie progressed while they were left disappointed.
Boring waste of time 1 1/2 hours of bordom Steve needs to get a new career, his only character is depressed guy with no life in all his movies change it up.
Painfully boring Wow, I love Steve Carell but this movie had almost no laughs, no emotion, and no heart. It was hard to get through the whole movie without falling asleep. They could have done so much more with this. Please do not waste your money. Besides Evan Almighty this was one of Steve's worst movies ever.
Wow! What an amazing movie!! For a end of the world scenario, had the perfect amount of laughs and really hits the core of your soul towards the end. Beautiful.
