Mozart's Sister
Written, directed and produced by René Féret, MOZART'S SISTER is a re-imagined account of the early life of Maria Anna 'Nannerl' Mozart (played by Marie Féret, the director's daughter), five years older than Wolfgang (David Moreau) and a musical prodigy in her own right. Originally the featured performer, Nannerl has given way to Wolfgang as the main attraction, as their strict but loving father Leopold (Marc Barbe) tours his talented offspring in front of the royal courts of pre-French revolution Europe. Approaching marriageable age and now forbidden to play the violin or compose, Nannerl chafes at the limitations imposed on her gender. But a friendship with the son and daughter of Louis XV offers her ways to challenge the established sexual and social order.
OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies
From the makers of The Artist, and a box-office sensation in France, comic star Jean Dujardin stars as secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath, a.k.a. OSS 117, who in the tradition of Maxwell Smart and Inspector Clouseau somehow succeeds in spite of his ineptitude. After a fellow agent and close friend is murdered, Hubert is ordered to take his place at the head of a poultry firm in Cairo. This is to be his cover while he investigates Jack's death, monitors the Suez Canal, checks up on the Brits and Soviets, burnishes France's reputation, quells a fundamentalist rebellion and brokers peace in the Middle East. A blithe and witty send-up not only of spy films of that era and the suave secret agent figure but also neo-colonialism, ethnocentrism and the very idea of Western covert action in the Middle East.

White Material
From Claire Denis, the incomparable director of BEAU TRAVAIL, L'INTRUS and 35 SHOTS OF RHUM, comes WHITE MATERIAL: a rich and thrilling account of a woman driven to the edge. An official selection of the Venice, Toronto and New York Film Festivals, the film is a riveting exploration of the complexities of racial conflict and the limits of human will. The legendary Isabelle Huppert (LA CEREMONIE, THE PIANO TEACHER, 8 WOMEN), is Maria Vial, a fearless French woman attempting to run her family's coffee plantation in an unnamed African country. Torn violently apart by hate-fueled civil conflict, this unforgiving setting soon turns against the foreign family, declaring them outlaws in their new home. In a brash effort to save her family and livelihood, Maria risks everything, fighting with every shred of her will to buck the rebel forces wrestling for control of local power.
Black Heaven
A breakout selection of the midnight section of Cannes in 2010, BLACK HEAVEN is directed by an exciting new French filmmaker called Gilles Marchand. The story (featuring a terrifically sexy young cast) follows an innocent young kid, Gaspar (Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet of LOVE SONGS), who, becoming enamored with a mysterious/gorgeous girl (Louise Bourgoin, THE GIRL FROM MONACO), is lured into "Black Hole" - a dark, obscure video game world of avatars with deadly serious intentions in the real world.
Army of Crime
ARMY OF CRIME tells an extraordinary true story of the French Resistance during WWII. In German-occupied Paris, poet and factory worker Missak Manouchian (Simon Abkarian) led a courageous group of immigrant fighters to sabotage the Nazi regime. Made up of young Jews, Poles, Hungarians, Romanians, Italians, Spaniards and Armenians, this heroically ragtag group committed nearly all acts of armed resistance in the capital between March and November 1943, before a series of arrests broke their ranks. Director Robert Guédiguian dramatizes their tale, bringing to life their acts of everyday sabotage from bombing Nazi hangouts to assassinating brutal generals, all the while being hounded by the Vichy French police, who use double-agents and macabre tortures to bring them in. In the middle of it all, Manouchian's love for his strong-willed wife Mélinée (the luminous Virginie Ledoyen) reminds them of the liberty they're fighting for. The noble and tragic story of these immigrants, who died for the republican ideals of France, is poetically brought to life in this epic film.

Into the mix comes an Angolan crime lord relentlessly seeking the return of his stolen shipment of gasoline. Delicatessen
From the director of AMELIE (Jean-Pierre Jeunet) comes a post-apocalyptic comedy that's both bitingly hilarious and absolutely one-of-a- kind. When meat becomes so rare that it is used as currency, residents living above a delicatessen must depend on a menacingly strange butcher (Jean-Claude Dreyfus) for their supply. But when a new tenant (Dominique Pinon) arrives and takes a job as the building's handyman, he unknowingly steps into the butcher's trap...to serve him as the next meal!
