Claudia Puig
It wants to be a Tarantino-esque dark comedy about gun-slinging, substance-abusing lowlifes. But instead it's a convoluted, slap-happy, humorless bloodfest.
Melissa Anderson
Not a fresh idea emerges from this risible exercise in muscle-car camerawork, squib-crazy shoot-outs and self-admiring pyrotechnics.
Richard Schickel
We just sit there numbly, awaiting the next sensation and trying, without notable success, to comprehend the preposterous backstory.
Jack Mathews
Violence is spread throughout the film, and some of it is entertaining, I have to admit. But the climax at Buddy's Tahoe penthouse is Tarantino on speed.
David Edelstein
Did Carnahan think these sickening scenes would give Smokin' Aces a moral complexity that's generally absent from this genre? I think they make the picture seem even more morally bankrupt.
A.O. Scott
Smokin Aces is a Viagra suppository for compulsive action fetishists and a movie that may not only be dumb in itself, but also the cause of dumbness in others.

On the edge of my seat. Little confusing at first but love how each groups ends up all together in the end. And the end blew me away. The detective did what was right.
More than great The whole thing kept me guessing and the ending blew me away

Ride Along
For the past two years, high school security guard Ben (Kevin Hart) has been trying to show decorated detective James (Ice Cube) that he's more than just a video game junkie who's unworthy of James' sister. When Ben finally gets accepted into the police academy, James invites him on a ride-along designed to scare the hell out him and ultimately demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner's rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it. Also starring John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne, Ride Along is an action-packed comedy with big thrills and even bigger laughs. (Original Title - Ride Along)
The World's End
Comedy
2
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reteam with director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) in this wildly entertaining thrill ride that critics call "funny as hell" (Richard Roeper, WLS-AM Chicago) and "sheer comic perfection" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone). Twenty years after their first epic pub crawl attempt, the "five musketeers" reunite in their home town to complete the ultimate challenge -one night, five friends, twelve bars -a boozy quest on which only the strongest will survive. But after a bizarre series of encounters with the out-of-this-world locals, they soon realize that reaching their final pub, The World's End, may be the least of their troubles. They're having the time of their lives, ready to take on the world...but tonight they may have to save it.
Kick-Ass
A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Danny Ocean likes his chances. All he asks is that his handpicked squad of 10 grifters and cons play the game like they have nothing to lose. If all goes right, the payoff will be a fat $150 million. Divided by 11. You do the math. MPAA Rating: PG-13 (c) 2001 Warner Bros. U.S., Canada, Bahama and Bermuda (c) Roadshow all other territories
The Heat
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up in this outrageously funny comedy from the director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig. Uptight FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) and foul-mouthed Boston cop Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) couldn't be more incompatible. But when they join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected...buddies.
Spy Kids
Bursting with an awesome array of ultracool, high-tech gadgetry, SPY KIDS delivers enough thrilling entertainment to satisfy the entire family! Nine years ago, top international spies Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) traded the excitement of espionage for the adventure of parenthood! But when they're called out on a secret mission, the Cortezes are separated from their family and kidnapped by the evil Fegan Floop. Fortunately, there are two people who possess the skills and know-how to reunite the family: Carmen and Juni Cortez, their kids! Your family will love every fun-filled second as Carmen and Juni bravely crisscross the globe in a thrilling quest to save their parents. We're the Millers (2013)
Comedy
2
Jason Sudeikis stars in this buzz-worthy comedy as a small-time suburban pot-dealer who likes to keep a low profile. When he's jumped by some gutter punks who steal his cash and his stash, he finds himself in deep trouble with his supplier (The Hangover's Ed Helms). In order to make amends, the small-time peddler must become a big-time smuggler by bringing in the latest shipment from Mexico. Enlisting his neighbors -- a cynical stripper (Jennifer Aniston), a streetwise teen (Emma Roberts) and a wannabe customer (Will Poulter) -- he comes up with a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a ginormous shiny RV later, "the Millers" are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that's sure to end with a bang or two!

But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps the Pineapple Express at the scene. When it's traced back to him, Dale and Saul run for their lives... and they quickly discover that they're not just suffering from weed-fueled paranoia.
