Sure, MacFarlane, you can make us laugh, but it's time to grow up. Seriously.
Joe Morgenstern
Everything goes on too long -- Ted's carousing, Lori's watchful waiting, John's wistful indecision.
Lisa Kennedy
It's a goofy premise pursued with crass -- as well as sentimental -- relish.
Laremy Legel
You'll feel the warmth and camaraderie of a Bostonian and his little sentient bear.
Bob Mondello
I tried to resist but couldn't.
Stephen Whitty
The idea of a toy that comes to life - and then won't go away - isn't a bad one. Too bad that "Ted" manages to overstay its welcome without ever really coming to life itself.

Fall off the couch funny! This movie is vulgar & crude but that's what's so funny. The Teddy is the last thing you'd expect to be a foul mouthed, joke cracking, insulting wise guy. Walburg is the innocent, sweet, gentleman you'd expect from Ted. This is just a fun movie and that's where it stops. People just need to relax, chill and just enjoy a good comedy. The movie doesn't aim insults @ any race, religion or ethnic background. Just enjoy the fun!

Extremely bitter and vulgar The movie tries to play the usual "guy must choose best friend or love of his life" tune but it does not do it in any charming way. The humor is simply awful, the bear is a mean, bitter character, and the protagonist made me face palm more than once with his impossible stupidity. There is a limit to how much a movie can insult the intelligence of the audience. This movie gives you there finger and crosses that line. For shame, MacFarlane.
Seth is a genius Absolutely hilarious ! I love Seth's humor , most people don't realize that you have to pay attention to all the details of every joke to truly appreciate the movie not like other comedies where the jokes are so obvious and dry . Anywho Seth is the best ftw . I love this movie 200% :D

If you seen the commercials, you seen this movie This movie turned out to be a huge disappointment. All it is is a live action version of Family Guy. They tried to bring in all the characters from Family Guy & it just doesn't work. Their only selling point is that it is a foul mouth teddy bear, and he's not even funny. and they keep trying to emphasize the whole Boston thing. We get it, everything you do is Boston. The poop on the floor was funny though.

OK For some reason everyone seems to absolutely love this movie. I have no idea why. It did have some funny parts, but it had some cheesy and unnecessarily vulgar moments as well. I don't mind vulgarity when it's not used as a cheap trick for shock value, but this clearly is. Despite its flaws, I enjoyed it for the most part, so I'm giving it 3 stars, but I have to say that it is highly overrated.

Pretty Awesome Movie! I was waiting to watch this when it came out on Blu-Ray, but I decided to rent it from Google Play. After watching it, I decided it had a nice amount of humor, unrated material, love, Family Guy, drugs, and thrill in it. I was feeling really scared when that kidnapper dude ripped Ted up. The funniest line in my opinion: John: Hello 911? Some crazy guy just kidnapped my teddy bear!

Bogus purchase I've been waiting to see this movie, but that doesn't mean I wanna buy it and watch it over and over, I don't know why some movies you can rent or buy and some you can only rent or only buy. The inconsistency makes for an unreliable poor business model that prevents me from paying for movies I want to watch and paying for something that I can rent.
