Sure, MacFarlane, you can make us laugh, but it's time to grow up. Seriously.
Joe Morgenstern
Everything goes on too long -- Ted's carousing, Lori's watchful waiting, John's wistful indecision.
Lisa Kennedy
It's a goofy premise pursued with crass -- as well as sentimental -- relish.
Laremy Legel
You'll feel the warmth and camaraderie of a Bostonian and his little sentient bear.
Bob Mondello
I tried to resist but couldn't.
Stephen Whitty
The idea of a toy that comes to life - and then won't go away - isn't a bad one. Too bad that "Ted" manages to overstay its welcome without ever really coming to life itself.

A Long FG Episode If you like Family Guy this movie is for you. The humor is basic and the plot is as thin as any FG episode. (written by manatees) As indicated I tend to watch SP which may or may not explain why I got bored watching this movie. Its not my style of humor but everyone has different tastes. For me this would be one of those movies I loved while in middle school only to wonder why once I got to college.
A Good Time It was nice to see Seth McFarlane's work on the big screen. I was skeptical at first when I heard this movie was coming out, but I gave it the chance that it needed to impress me, and I was pleasantly surprised with the way this came together. The story is a bit nonsensical, but that's what makes it so awesome. So many pop culture and old school pop culture references, that I was giggling almost the whole time, in between the full-on laughing. Great movie, but not amazing, as I have seen Seth do more humorous things in his cartoons. That being said, I still highly recommend this movie, and look forward to seeing what the future holds for Seth and his crew.
Loved this film My friend took me to see this opening night, and I loved it enough to go watch it four more times. I don't really go watch movies until they come to red box or on DVD but I had to see this movie. The story is good, and flows wonderfully and the comedy is pulled right from family guy and American dad, making this movie one of the best I've seen
