Nigel Floyd
More coherent and thought-provoking than most 'found-footage' horror movies, this should appeal to genre fans and eco-activists alike.
Roger Ebert
Although there are some scary moments here, and a lot of gruesome ones, this isn't a horror film so much as a faux eco-documentary.
Lou Lumenick
[Levinson] demonstrates he can make a shakycam found-footage horror movie every bit as fake-looking, clumsy and unscary as your average college student working on a $200 budget.
Sean O'Connell
A ripped-from-the-headlines psychological chiller that burrows under the skin with its terrifyingly local twist.
Mick LaSalle
Like a "Blair Witch Project" for thinking adults, one that's scary in two distinct ways.
Mark Olsen
The story becomes more ridiculous as it escalates, the film's over-determined ecological focus undermining any real horror movie tension.

"The Bay" is better than a shallow exercise, but crabby horror fans may have preferred that Levinson took a real plunge.

Interesting Enough It was not the best movie, but the theory is interesting. I watched it late at night so that might have had something to do with it. However, the movie had a few holes in it. For instance, how is it that this occurred in one day. A progression of instances would have made it more realistic.
skip it Painful to watch, it felt like walking on red hot burning thorny coals. I rented this movie seeking entertainment, not torture. Amateurish, very bad story line, dizzying camera work, pathetic acting, maliciously boring, absolutely nonsensical so called movie. Google needs to get some real movies on the play store, not this kind of toxic trash!
Really good Being the fact that this outbreak could actually happen, it had me pretty scared.. I don't scare easily, but this one did.. the acting was really good and the special effects and make-up was well done. I really enjoyed the "reality" video/footage, it wasn't as shaky as other movies, it was done real well.. I recommend this movie..
not at all scary good story but not scary. totally not what i was expecting...and they have all their facts about the eastern shore off. im from easton and they could at least check google maps before making their movie. all in all glad i did not spend money to go to the theatre.
Really Gross (in a good way) Acting was good as well as effects and make up. Kinda disturbing only cause I'm sure something like this or close to it can actually happen.
The Bay A gorr-ific tale of "what might be" if Delmarvans don't start making noise to politicians about fertilizer runoff, steroid laden chickenshit , and who knows what else keeps getting dumped in "The Bay.". I thought the acting was well done and loved how all the pieces came together in a way similar to Crash. Levinson is an artist, and the poultry industry smells dirty.
Not a horror movie Think of it as an message movie about the environment that utilizes the popular found footage mechanism of telling its tale. It was OK, but neither scary nor very believable
Different....... This movie is more gross than scary, but it depends on what your scared of. Individually this movie terrified me. Acted very well and putts the found footage craft in professional hands.
