Nice to know America's action stars, no matter how old they get, will never lack for gainful employment.
James Berardinelli
Does exactly what it's supposed to do - no more, no less.
Rafer Guzman
Yeah, yeah, I get it: "The Expendables 2" is a fun-loving throwback to the gloriously bad action films of the 1980s. Here's what I don't get: Why couldn't it be a throwback to the good ones?
Rick Groen
At least it's efficiently and breezily forgettable. What's more, there are laughs too and here's the best part - one or two of them are actually intentional.

Awful This film was just as bad as the first. Its pretty bad when acting ability is second fiddle to botox injections. Sure, there were some laughs and plenty of action, but the presence of such geriatric men, trying so hard, trumps any of the good things in this film (Jason Stathum, Terry Crews, Scott Atkins). Also, the score is old bluegrass rock and roll. Semi out of sorts for all film attending generations. Unless you are greater that 50 years old, or you can't find Red Sonia on Netflix, skip this one.

Cheesy Catch Phrases and Big Guns. Big Guns, Big Muscles, Pointless violence, over exhaggerated blood and killing , and cheesy catch phrases. That sums up an Awesome movie. Classic shoot em up type movie but worth the rental price. must see for every guy or gal that loves pure action and no real story.

Chuck F*****g Norris! That's right this film features most of the cast from to first and a few actors who "belong in a museum" including Walker Texas Ranger! If I didn't know any better the gratuitous violence, cheesy catch lines and HORRIBLE cgi would have led me to believe it was made in the early 90's. Once you accept that it isn't an Oscar nominee the film becomes very entertaining!

Weak Rented this from Redbox using a free code. What a waste of a free code. Bad usage of catch phrases from the actor's old movies, sadly, it was easy to predict what was going to happen next. The actors looked old and tired, and certainly didn't belong in the movie together. It's sad to see once great actors looking so bad and acting even worse. Save your money.
Expendy spendys Everyone on the scroll, this cinematography is suppose to be about being cheesy and bad jokes?.what is wrong with you guys? You should know by now since the days of Rambo that they would blow a couple hundred million to enjoy what has limited peoples view of love and life....Being stupid. Blessed are the cheesy for they shall inherit pizza.... Now if someone wants to make a happy face on a pizza are you going sit there and critize it or are you going to get jiggy with it and have a slice?...

Oh come on people All the negative reviews rant about the bad plot, horrid acting, excessive violence and how old and tired they all look... well, that's actually the point of the movie. It an action comedy. It pokes fun at the actors and the way shootemup movies were made in the 80s and 90s. The actors are all just trying to have fun, and it shows. Nothing is taken seriously so the acting is lousy, but you can tell everyone on the set is having fun with it. It's a cheeky comedy with impossible situations and non stop action
GOOD AWESOME SEQUEL. and nice intro to Hemsworth good job. This sequel reminds me of (The A team) if only they had as much violence, and gore good actors but to childish I'll say. Any way good laugh, good time and I bid y'all a farewell happy Thanksgiving everyone.
A fun 80a blow $#@* up movie Just to see these guys together having a blast in a good old 80a style blow $#@* up movie is awesome. This is NOT meant to be some Oscar award winning movie. It harkens back to when action movies were just that ACTION MOVIES. Obviously they aren't in the "Mr. Universe" shape they once were, but they are still able to make these movies. As far as the cheesy lines that hint at their old movies is just fun in and of itself.
Campy Yeah the movie may be a bit campy but It's enjoyable none the less. As for an earlier post about using torrents to download "free movies", it doesn't matter if you go to a brick & mortar store & steal DVDs or go to torrent sites & download pirated movies-stealing is stealing either way. Sooner or later you will get caught & fined thousands of dollars for all those "free" movies-enjoy.

Campy, but good. Be prepared to suspend your belief in physics. How does a WWII era unpressurized plane fly around the globe without refueling, fly into Chinese airspace without being shot down and sport hot weapons in today's world is beyond belief. Also, the bad guys can never shoot straight. Get beyond those things and this movie is fun, action packed and chock full of yesterday's super action heros. They pretty much found them all. I would watch it again.
Come on This movie isn't made to be the best movie its just for the fans who always wanted to see their heros back in action. Its a comedy. They know they are too old that's the point.
Garbage Is the worst movie I have seen in a long time. Bad jokes and inconsistencies in the plot make this a mind numbing experience.
Save Your Money Watched it yesterday. You would think a movie with all those action stars would have a halfway decent script. Horrible screenplay. There was less action than an amish wedding. JCVD should have done more fight scenes and Chuck Norris' appearances were awkward. I don't expect an Oscar caliber actor, but I've seen these guys act better. Had the movie zoomed through with nonstop action then I probably would have given it 4 or 5.. The camera work looked like a college kid directed it. No varying angles, bland.

Plz stop!..the madness!! Like the first movie, the acting is bad,Especially from Bruce Willis,I think he needs some acting classes again, dolph is looking tired again, sly's plastic face all puffy..van damme was ok.ohh, ohh and arnold..he looks terrible..hopefully they don't make a number 3,but that's Hollywood crap for you.
