Richard Roeper
This is a deliberately off-kilter, cheerfully violent, hit-and-miss effort with just enough moments of inspiration to warrant a recommendation.
Christopher Orr
A movie with a PG brain and a NC-17 body count, unsuitable for audiences of any age.
Michael Sragow
An all-star cast fails to rise above bloody japes and heavy-handed humor in this tale of a renegade Mob family hiding in a small French town.
David Edelstein
A black comedy that doesn't begin to jell but has a sweetheart of a cast and the odd diverting moment.
Adam Nayman
The casting of Robert De Niro as an ex-Mafioso hiding in witness protection is witty in only the silliest, most superficial way. It's a joke with its own tinny, built-in laugh track.
David Hiltbrand
The Family is a film at once strange and intriguing. It can't seem to settle on a tone.

Adam Graham
The film isn't worthy of De Niro's stature, in the gangster sub-genre or otherwise.
User reviews
Boring and low class The movie is really a C movie. It felt like DeNiro and Lee Jones just wanted to make a movie when they were off. Horrible content that does not match. I would not recommend this. Wait till it comes out on Netflix. A waste of time and money.
Great movie I did not think I was going to like it. It has action comedy drama everything

We're the Millers (2013)
Comedy
2
Jason Sudeikis stars in this buzz-worthy comedy as a small-time suburban pot-dealer who likes to keep a low profile. When he's jumped by some gutter punks who steal his cash and his stash, he finds himself in deep trouble with his supplier (The Hangover's Ed Helms). In order to make amends, the small-time peddler must become a big-time smuggler by bringing in the latest shipment from Mexico. Enlisting his neighbors -- a cynical stripper (Jennifer Aniston), a streetwise teen (Emma Roberts) and a wannabe customer (Will Poulter) -- he comes up with a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a ginormous shiny RV later, "the Millers" are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that's sure to end with a bang or two!
Red 2
In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they'll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-ge neration weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world—and stay alive in the process.
Kick-Ass
A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Danny Ocean likes his chances. All he asks is that his handpicked squad of 10 grifters and cons play the game like they have nothing to lose. If all goes right, the payoff will be a fat $150 million. Divided by 11. You do the math. MPAA Rating: PG-13 (c) 2001 Warner Bros. U.S., Canada, Bahama and Bermuda (c) Roadshow all other territories
The Heat
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up in this outrageously funny comedy from the director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig. Uptight FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) and foul-mouthed Boston cop Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) couldn't be more incompatible. But when they join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected...buddies.
Spy Kids

Kill Bill: Volume 1
The acclaimed fourth film from groundbreaking writer and director Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION, JACKIE BROWN), KILL BILL VOLUME 1 stars Uma Thurman (PULP FICTION), Lucy Liu (CHARLIE'S ANGELS, CHICAGO), and Vivica A. Fox (TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME) in an astonishing, action-packed thriller about brutal betrayal and an epic vendetta! Four years after taking a bullet in the head at her own wedding, The Bride (Thurman) emerges from a coma and decides it's time for payback ... with a vengeance! Having been gunned down by her former boss (David Carradine) and his deadly squad of international assassins, it's a kill-or- be- killed fight she didn't start but is determined to finish! Ride Along
For the past two years, high school security guard Ben (Kevin Hart) has been trying to show decorated detective James (Ice Cube) that he's more than just a video game junkie who's unworthy of James' sister. When Ben finally gets accepted into the police academy, James invites him on a ride-along designed to scare the hell out him and ultimately demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner's rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it. Also starring John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne, Ride Along is an action-packed comedy with big thrills and even bigger laughs. (Original Title - Ride Along)
