Geoff Pevere
While it may not conform to one's real-life expectations it certainly hews tightly to teen-flick conventions.
Bruce Diones
The film dodges most of the pitfalls of clichéd cancer dramas with humor and natural warmth.
Ben Sachs
An emotional climax arrives every 15 minutes or so, and every affecting moment is underscored with a soppy light-rock song.
Dana Stevens
What in the name of God is wrong with me that I didn't cry once -- I, who just the day before wept through the entirety of my child's thoroughly upbeat school play.
Connie Ogle
The Fault in Our Stars is a heart-breaker for sure, but it's also a sweet, romantic film full of sudden warmth and humor. It gets everything right about being young and in love for the first time.
Wesley Morris
There's a moment when the breeziness powering the story goes away and medical reality takes over, and Elgort's performance goes to a surprising new place.

Big movies have their embedded lessons in heroism, but it's nice to have tales of human-scale fortitude.

Absolutely incredible. This story brought me to tears so many times that I couldn't keep track. The entire movie is filled with bittersweet romance that can make anyone have to pause just to soak it all in. Hollywood did an amazing job recreating the feelings that JG captured in his book. 10/10 it was brilliant.

AMAZING This story is beyond amazing. When I first read the book I fell in love. Shai and Ansel really bring this story to life. I recommend this movie and book to everyone that loves love stories but not sappy ones. This story celebrates life and true love. Master John Green wrote this incredible story and it wasn't to discuss cancer but to show that everyone has their own little infinity and that life is there for us to make the best of it. xoxo

By far one of my favorites I had hardly ant desire to see this at first. Great story line, lots of humor, lots of heart felt moments and you really get into the movie. You feel like you know them personally as the movie progresses. I highly recommend it to everyone. This movie will make you cry though
