Tom Huddleston
Hardcore horror heads may scorn its snail pace and shaggy-dog sweetness, but for discerning viewers, 'The Innkeepers' is a slow-burning charmer.
Ian Buckwalter
We can't dissociate ourselves from the evil because, as in much of the best horror, what's scaring us isn't external; it's everything we fear seeing when we look in the mirror.
Bruce Diones
West freshens up the horror genre with a distinctive, careful camera style and an ability to write with empathy and humor.
Mary F. Pols
The Innkeepers makes such youthful passivity seem nearly as treacherous as opening the cellar door.
Moira MacDonald
This film has some of the usual scary cues and tense moments, but the setting, the old Yankee Pedlar inn, emerges as a more interesting character than any of the people.
J. R. Jones
The place offers West plenty of odd, creaky spaces to inspect as the innkeepers' project of capturing ghostly events on video (a joking reference to the Paranormal Activity franchise) begins to bear fruit.

Very, very underwhelming. I didn't like that there were practically 200 times where you thought something was going to happen and it was really nothing. I also didn't like that there wasn't any reasoning behind the spirits actually being malicious (or were they? I'm still confused) or looking like they could just have walked off the House on Haunted Hill set. Watch this if you're trying to ease yourself or a buddy into horror. Bottom line, it kind of sucks.
Interesting Good movie, kept me interested, great scary moments as well as funny too. The ending could have been better.
OK It's a low budget independent film. That is entertaining I did see some of the plot coming but it still kept me interested, over all not a bad ghost story

Paranormal Activities Take Notes. This is a good ghost story. Why? because we establish everything we need to plus the feeling of being alone in a plausibly haunted hotel in the movie. We know the characters and feel them as humans. Then the scares are put in. It's the Spielberg of dealing with a subject in humanity and then putting it into a haunted house which works with The Conjuring as well. The hotel is closing these 20 somethings don't know what they're going to do after this. It's just as much about losing a job in your mid 20's than it is a haunted house. Both are scary. Sure it's not fast pace but I think that's why I liked it more. Ti keep making these movies. I will keep watching them.
WORST SCARY MOVIE EVER The Worst Scary Movie Ive Seen.. Its A Waste Of 4 Dollars.. I Could Have Bought Me 4 McChikens With Dat Money -_____- Dont See It...
Freaky Slow at the start really Freaky in the middle and towards the end,but the ending really lacked something all and all it wad decently done, I would recommend watching it with the lights on, and alone is not a good idea either.
Slow but good Slow moving at first but picks up towards the middle-end. Not super scary but creepy interesting.
Very scary!! The ambience of the movie kept you in suspense because of the dark scenes in the movie. It kept you guessing and wondering what was going to happen next. Great movie! The ending could have been better but it was doable!
Worst Ending! Very painfully slow. It didn't make sense, but I kept watching waiting for the "big reveal" at the end, which never came!!! Worst ending I have ever, not worth watching.
Hmm... its alright. It has some humor and a scary moment or two; I could have done without the ending however. Would've given 2.5 stars because of the ending but no halves.
Booorrriiinnnggggggg Don't waste your time and money, you keep waiting fir something to happen but nothing ever happens. Then the ending just leaves you confused because again....nothing happens. Would not recommend
Scarrryyyy!!! You must see this scary movie...but don't watch it alone!

The Mist
David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.
Halloween (2007)
From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers. 1408 (Director's Cut)
Adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (John Cusack) believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. But after a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he has no real proof of life...afterlife. But Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but like many Stephen King heroes, first he must go from skeptic to true believer -- and confront his demons to survive the night. Stake Land
America has fallen. A vampiric scourge sweeps the nation, turning brother on brother and parent on child as the blood-hungry beasts take deeper and deeper hold upon the land. It's hard for the survivors to know whether to be more afraid of the creatures themselves or the violent religious groups that have sprung up in response, but there is clearly only one choice: fight or die. Connor Paolo (GOSSIP GIRL) stars as Martin, a young man traveling with only his taciturn mentor & a hardened fighter known simply as Mister as protection against this blasted earth in search of the rumoured safe haven of New Eden. Winner of the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and hailed as "the American horror film of the year" (Todd Brown, TwitchFilm.com), STAKE LAND establishes director Jim Mickle as a leader in the new generation of horror.

Not all of the attention is innocent: Covertly tracking their moves is Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell), a scarred, weathered rebel who leers from behind the wheel of his muscle car. As the girls settle into their beers, Mike's weapon, a white-hot juggernaut, revs just feet away.
