Christopher Kelly
A polite, occasionally rousing, and more often than not, boring affair.
Rafer Guzman
A powerful back story does not necessarily improve a movie, but The King's Speech has a pretty irresistible one. It might even end with a dramatic night at the Oscars in February.
Stephen Whitty
In The King's Speech, Colin Firth once again reminds us of what a great actor he is.
Tom Long
Classic, rousing entertainment loaded with both humor and poignancy.
Lou Lumenick
The King's Speech is the rare work of art that's also an immense crowdpleaser.
Manohla Dargis
Too ingratiating to resonate deeply.

The King's Speech is admirably free of easy answers and simple, happy endings; it's a skewed, awards-ready version of history, but one polished to a fine, satisfying shine.

Colin Firth is amazing Colin Firth's depiction of King George VI is very moving and especially believable considering the stutter he had to master. Geoffrey Rush is also great and it's an overall very well made movie, but Firth steals the show.
Historically amazing! Deeply patriotic! I am teacher and professor of Universal History and British History. In a few films produced about the British History which tells a high fidelity about its facts, no doubts this very one is one of the most faithful to the reality. Sincerely, I was very impressed about Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter`s performances!! It`s as I was reading a living History book before my eyes. Very touching and powerful: I have reached to the tears!! Congratulations to you all!! Rev. Luiz Massena
Phenominal. Deserved of every award it won. Simply brilliant.
