Greg Quill
Basque director Álex de la Iglesia's exotic, surreal, hilarious, bloody and utterly explosive grand opus.
Rick Groen
From the far-too-teeming brain of Spanish writer/director Alex de la Iglesia, The Last Circus is a bizarre, surreal, grotesque, fascinating, demanding, disappointing and ultimately exhausting...
Rene Rodriguez
For those with a taste for the subversive and outrageous, run, don't walk.
Una LaMarche
You're left with the vague recollection of an interesting movie you were watching before you got kidnapped and subjected to over an hour of torture porn starring a fat, sadistic clown.
Andrew O'Hehir
If you like your baroque sex and violence with a side dish of heavy-duty symbolism ... put "The Last Circus" on your must-see list right now.

Last Hijack
A true tale of survival in Somalia told from the pirate’s perspective. Combining animation with documentary storytelling, Last Hijack takes an innovative hybrid approach to explore how one successful Somali pirate, Mohamed, came to live such a brutal and dangerous existence. Animated re-enactments explore the memories, dreams, and fears from a rarely seen point of view in this original non-fiction narrative.
Dogtooth
2011 Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film.
Graceful, enigmatic, and often frightening, DOGTOOTH is an ingenious dark comedy that won the Prix Un Certain Regard at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, propelling Yorgos Lanthimos to the forefront of contemporary cinema's most ambitious young filmmakers.
In an effort to protect their three children from the corrupting influence of the outside world, a Greek couple transforms their home into a gated compound of cultural deprivation and strict rules of behavior. But children cannot remain innocent forever. When the father brings home a young woman to satisfy his son's sexual urges, the family's engineered "reality" begins to crumble, with devastating consequences.
Like the haunting, dystopic visions of Michael Haneke and Gaspar Noé, DOGTOOTH punctuates its compelling drama with moments of shocking violence, creating a biting social satire that is as profound as it is provocative.

The Protector
Taking on a deadly crime syndicate to rescue two elephants in a foreign country is a daunting challenge, even for a martial arts master like Kham (Tony Jaa). Despite the help of Sergeant Mark (Phetthai Wongkhamlao), a Thai police Sergeant based in Australia, and Pla (Bongkod Kongmalai), a Thai girl forced into modern day slavery, the going gets tough. They must take on the ruthless gang of Madame Rose (Jin Xing), whose henchmen include Johnny (Tri Nguyen), a Vietnamese thief and martial arts expert, and the hulking TK (Nathan B Jones).
In The Loop
From writer/director Armando Iannucci, IN THE LOOP is a crackerjack political satire centered on the Machiavellian art of spin in the 24-hour news cycle -- where one's choice of words can, in a heartbeat, affect international diplomacy and where language isn't so much a virus, as a veritable weapon of mass destruction. Starring Tom Hollander, Peter Capaldi, James Gandolfini, Steve Coogan and Anna Chlumsky, and featuring some of the most mellifluous screen dialogue this side of NETWORK, ALL ABOUT EVE and the MONTY PYTHON films, in addition to delirious political maneuverings on par with THANK YOU FOR SMOKING, DR. STRANGELOVE and WAG THE DOG.
Museum Hours
Acclaimed filmmaker Jem Cohen's new feature, Museum Hours, is a mesmerizing tale of two adrift strangers who find refuge in Vienna's grand Kunsthistorisches Art Museum. Johann, a museum guard, spends his days silently observing both the art and the visitors. Anne, suddenly called to Vienna from overseas, has been wandering the city in a state of limbo. A chance meeting sparks a deepening connection that draws them through the halls of the museum and the streets of the city. The exquisitely photographed Museum Hours is an ode to the bonds of friendship, an exploration of an unseen Vienna, and the power of art to both mirror and alter our lives.
More Than Honey
Academy Award-nominated director Markus Imhoof (The Boat Is Full) tackles the vexing issue of why bees, worldwide, are facing extinction. With the tenaicyt of a man out to solve a great mystery, he investigates this global phenomenon, from California to Switzerland, China and Australia. Exquisite macro-photography of the bees in flight and in their hives reveal a fascinating, complex world in crisis.

With doctors and conventional medicine unable to help, Joe traded in junk food and hit the road with a juicer and generator in tow, vowing only to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for 60 days. Across 3,000 miles Joe had one goal in mind: To get off his pills and achieve a balanced lifestyle.

His best friend, Ine introduces him to the gay scene in Cologne where he meets the confident and gorgeous, Fabio. The two develop a romantic relationship that tests the boundaries of love. Hunt, bypasses current dietary group-think by exploring modern dietary science, previous historical findings, ancestral native diets and the emerging field of human dietary evolution - revealing for the first time, the authentic human diet. Film audiences finally can see what our species truly needs for optimal health and are given a practical template based on scientific facts.
Happy People: A Year in the Taiga
With Happy People: A Year in the Taiga, iconic filmmaker Werner Herzog embarks on another unforgettable journey into the heart of a remote natural environment. Deep in the Siberian wilderness, leagues away from civilization, a mere 300 people inhabit the village of Bakhtia on the river Yenisei. This outpost can only be reached in two ways: by boat and helicopter. There is no running water, no medical aid or even a single telephone. The locals, whose daily routines have hardly changed over the centuries, live self-reliantly according to their cultural values and traditions. With insightful narration by Herzog, Happy People follows a few veteran Siberian trappers through the Taiga's four seasons to tell the incredible story of a society untouched by modernity.
Zaytoun
In 1982, amid the Lebanese Civil War, Israeli pilot Yoni (Stephen Dorff) is shot down over Beirut and is taken prisoner by inhabitants of a Palestinian refugee camp. Among the captors is twelve-year-old Fahed, whose father obsessively tends to his prized, but sickly olive tree, refusing to replant it until the return to their ancestral land. Despite his deep-rooted hatred for Yoni, Fahed realizes he can use him to get past the border and into "Palestine" to plant his father's olive tree. The two embark on a harrowing and dangerous journey - one that tests the very boundaries of humanity. ZAYTOUN is a story of survival, reconciliation and friendship.
