Most of the jokes that might have seemed jolly fun on stage now appear obvious and even flat. The sparkle's gone.
Dave Kehr
The wit is too weak to sustain a film, and the songs all sound the same.
Geoff Andrew
A string of hummable songs gives it momentum, Gray's admirably straight-faced narrator holds it together, and a run on black lingerie takes care of almost everything else.
Roger Ebert
Viewed on video simply as a movie, without the midnight sideshow, it's cheerful and silly, and kind of sweet, and forgettable.

Great One of my favorite musicals. I have been watching this since I was a kid, and my parents since they were teenagers. So funny, creepy, and weird. Just my style. The songs are good and it is great to sing along with the movie. I never get tired of it.
Mercedes Jacoby
It's diffrent for everyone. I love this movie, and I find the songs enjoyable. But a lot of people who haven't watched the movie since they were younger, probably aren't going to get the fun and exited feeling that any Rocky Horror fan would get when they hear the Time Warp. I think it's enjoyable and amazing, but it all depends on the person. This movie was made in 1775, and is still talked about, so they must of done something right.

I cried and idk why! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS MOVIE! The Sword of Damocles and Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me and Sweet Transvestite are my favorite songs now. I don't know how people hate this movie. I love that it's random so you can't expect what's to come! I hate that movies now a days have to be predictable! I guess that's what people hate it. But I love it! Truly amazing.
Brad and Janet get engaged and decided to go on a trip but along the way their car breaks down and the end up finding the house and all hell breaks loose a must see for everyone. My favorite movie would always go to Rocky every Saturday at midnight when I lived in Texas and always loved doing the time warp!! Definitely a classic that will live forever!
