Bilge Ebiri
You spend a lot of the movie confused, but the great big reveals of its finale don't feel very shocking at all.
James Berardinelli
There's something welcome about a motion picture that doesn't hand out a dumbed-down resolution in a neatly wrapped package.
Bruce Ingram
Eubank could have a terrific future as a director. As a screenwriter, though, maybe not so much.
Robert Abele
There's bravura manipulativeness to The Signal, the stylish, slyly funny question mark of a movie from director and co-writer William Eubank.
Rene Rodriguez
The Signal is too ambitious for its own good, but it is still a pleasure to watch.
Nicolas Rapold
You wouldn't be surprised to see Mr. Eubank directing a bigger-budget movie down the road, but this film demonstrates some blanks in his approach that still need to be filled in.

So Many Unresolved Questions --Mild Spoilers-- Based on the trailers for this movie, I thought this movie had a lot of potential to be something amazing. Alas It was not. Though it did resolve a couple questions that a viewer might bring up, the ending is ultimately pretty predictable but with out the explanation it deserves. Why the main character got his gifts is pretty obvious, but as for the secondary characters I have no idea. Hell, I don't even know what was going on with the girl. At the end of the day, this movie is really about the almost rekindling of a couple's broken relationship with a sci-fi backdrop. If you're into that kind of thing then more power to you, but as someone who appreciates good science fiction for being good science fiction I was disappointed and regret blowing the ~$5 it took to rent it. Its not the BIGGEST waste of a time of a movie, but you'd have to search a bit to fond a worse one.

"Breaking The Fourth Wall" Among the barrage of indie "art" films, "The Signal" stands tall against the competition. With enough of visual flair to make your jaw drop, and an intriguing story with ridiculous twists, this is the thinking man's sci-fi adventure. A definite purchase if you prefer a more in depth and thought provoking story. Along with it's creepy plot, are some exciting and breath taking action sequences, boasting some grand CGI work.

👽👽👽Amazing👾👾👾 I've seen a lot of movies come out this year and the endings all suck besides the storyline being good and ending really sells the movie to be honest to me this ending was probably one of the best endings I've seen a last 15 years congratulations best movie I've ever seen so far in 2014 highly recommend

The signal Well ,to start off with who in the world is this Irish rebel clown besides ,he hasn't even been around long enough to know what a real good movie is all about he should go back to watching his cartoons and learn some correct methods of expression and at least try to understand about criticism . Thank you .

I saw it coming But that being said, nowadays a lot of movies are overly obvious either in directing you to the plot twist. or trying to drive you away from it. Still, I really enjoyed the cinematography in this movie and I think it was way more intriguing than the majority of stuff on the market today
