Stephen Whitty
If you're a parent who ever, for one cold-sweat second, lost sight of your child at a playground - "The Tall Man" will tap into your darkest fears. And then make them even darker.
Mark Olsen
Long on atmosphere and short on sense, "The Tall Man" becomes less gripping as it grows more ridiculous.
Kyle Smith
"The Tall Man" spits out enough scares and twists to maintain our interest, but the film's psycho-sociological layer is almost as cheesy and unconvincing as its low-rent action scenes.
Jeannette Catsoulis
"The Tall Man" opens like a ghost story and closes with its feet firmly in the real world. Until then, Pascal Laugier's chilly little thriller manhandles our sympathies and gladdens our eyes in...
Joe Neumaier
The movie itself draws on too long, and eventually goes past at least two potential endings and heads right into the ridiculous.
Scott Tobias
It's novel, thought-provoking, and defiant of genre expectations.

I like to imagine the pitch meeting for "The Tall Man" as something like this: "It will be like 'Twin Peaks,' only absolutely terrible on every level."

What? This isn't a horror movie, but it def plays with your mind until you figure out what's going on. I said wtf a lot out of confusion, Jessica plays an awesome part
Sounded like Slender Man But wasn't.. it wasn't even a good story at all. Saw all the twist before they happened but 1 and That's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars.
It started off real good and than past the midway it felt rather long and boring...
Liked I actually liked it and really thought they did good in keeping u guessing till the end honestly mg opinion also I kinda like there concept of why and all with taking the kids and were they were given I see that point....
Slender man?? I didn't see da movie but the summary remindz me A LOT of slender man...o.o
Boo. Not scary at all and has nothing to do with the slenderman mythos that it is seemingly based on.

Creeping Crawling is a terrifying anthology featuring three tales of horror about things that go slither in the night. Two students get more than they bargained for when they seek the help of an eccentric Entomologist to help with a research project. Dr. Tarkovsky tells three dark tales about the creeping crawling insects that burrow through the walls of homes, eat through our intestines, and for some of us, drive us slowly insane. He first yarn, GRUBBERY tells the story of supermodel Denver who will do anything to keep her figure even as she is eaten away by her own vanity. RID introduces the beautiful, young Dori, a girl so desperate for money she poses as a nurse hired to care for a comatose patient. Slowly she begins to unravel as something sinister feasts upon her as she sleeps. In the doctor’s final tale, BUGGER, a lonely man can’t seem to find a woman who shares his six-legged obsessions. In the meantime, a serial killer lurks.
The Mist
David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.
Halloween (2007)
From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers. 1408 (Director's Cut)
Adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (John Cusack) believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. But after a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he has no real proof of life...afterlife. But Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but like many Stephen King heroes, first he must go from skeptic to true believer -- and confront his demons to survive the night. The Human Centipede
Internationally respected Siamese twin surgeon Dr. Josef Heiter has a demented vision for mankind's future existence. He wants to remove human beings' kneecaps so they have to exist on all fours and then surgically graft them mouth-to-anus to form a centipede chain. Kidnapping a third Japanese male tourist he begins the tissue matches, teeth removal and buttock moulding to create his triplet creature...
Stake Land
America has fallen. A vampiric scourge sweeps the nation, turning brother on brother and parent on child as the blood-hungry beasts take deeper and deeper hold upon the land. It's hard for the survivors to know whether to be more afraid of the creatures themselves or the violent religious groups that have sprung up in response, but there is clearly only one choice: fight or die. Connor Paolo (GOSSIP GIRL) stars as Martin, a young man traveling with only his taciturn mentor & a hardened fighter known simply as Mister as protection against this blasted earth in search of the rumoured safe haven of New Eden. Winner of the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and hailed as "the American horror film of the year" (Todd Brown, TwitchFilm.com), STAKE LAND establishes director Jim Mickle as a leader in the new generation of horror.

In WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, a seemingly wholesome and benevolent family, the Parkers have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank (Bill Sage, "Boardwalk Empire") rules his family with a rigorous fervor, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost. As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris (Ambyr Childers, THE MASTER) and Rose (Julia Garner, MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR) are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, the local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.
