Disappointing As a 40k storyline, it is utter rubbish 3/10. 6/10 for the animation, they weren't bad though they weren't exceptional. 9/10 voice acting. The storyline feels rushed and weak, and the directing is poor. Failed to feel dark or even very serious, much less grimdark. 4/10 overall.

Should've been better Great voice acting and great that its 40k on the screen, but as a film fan i thought the story was lacklustre and the animations were inferior to those seen on GW games. Actually the story was utter rubbish, there are many better stories in the 40k universe, can't believe this is the best they could come up with...

Not good, not horrible. A forgettable movie with forgettable characters who are part of the most forgettable chapter in the least forgettable universe. Terence Stamp is a bored zombie, John Hurt is wasted, and Pertwee tries his best. So many better stories in 40k, but to be fair its the only time Abnett has let us down.

What a waste I don't get it. 40k has a rich back story. Dan Abnett is a great writer. It has some great acting talent. But somehow, it resulted in a boring movie with poor visuals and no redeeming features. I find space marines particularly boring, since they have little character and simplistic story arcs, but even the action scenes were dull.

Not for fans So lets start this off as ...I'm a reader and 40k is my favorite! This movie is a true low point in the 40k universe! Crappy animation and a dull storyline are to blame. This would not pass for a good read. The best parts are the Title and the end credits, everything in between is just filler. GW needs to go exterminatus on whoever made this. But i have high hopes for the LORD INQUISITOR fan film! Better luck next time...

The animation was good but the storyline was lacking. It was great to see that they had some big time actors doing the voices , but the storyline was just not there , would love to see another one set in the 40k universe just put some more thought into what the story line is going to be about make us care about these characters

A college project would have been more professional. Never has greater voice talent been squandered on such pap. Animation is akin to a college project rather than a professional production. The lengthy list of producers alone rings all kinds of alarms. Story feels like it was cobbled together on the back of beer mats late on a Friday night. In summary: no no no no no no no.
