Funny and poignant and full of life, Up easily qualifies as one of the best movies of the year so far. Go with someone you care about.

The movie is packed with lovely jokes, some of them funny in inexplicable ways.
Ben Mankiewicz
The key to Pixar's success has always been the perfect blend of heart and humor -- and they've certainly done it again here.

Lou Lumenick
An exquisite work of cinematic art that also happens to be the funniest, most touching, most exciting and most entertaining movie released so far this year.
Stephanie Zacharek
Its charms appear to have been applied with surgical precision; by the end, I felt expertly sutured, but not much else.

To watch Up with any attention is to be moved and astonished by the economy with which specific visuals are invested with emotion throughout.

Special!! One of my favorites; I love animated films but my husband isn't fond of most but "UP" he's watched a # of times. And it will always be 'special', it was my mother's favorite; she watched it over & over again while she was dying from breast cancer at age 59. This movie gave her laughter & comfort, she said 'it showed that loss of the one you love is hard but with time one will 'pick up his house' & find new reasons to live & be joyful.' Always special in my heart!
So touching! It's wonderful! The beginning made me cry it was sad but I loved how it turned around to make me happy again and the ending is so touching and beautiful I love it!
Fantastic story Great scripting, lovable characters and brilliant direction. I never thought I could enjoy another animated movie like I enjoyed wall.e until I saw this movie.
Perfect Quite simply perfect! I did not think i would like this movie more than Wall-E, and i dont but its pretty close. I love this film and it is truly a work of art. I love the heart of this movie and it admitly brings tears to my eyes. If all movies had a third of the heart this film has the world would be a better place.
Another Pixar masterpiece! From Disney and Pixar comes Up. Another masterpiece that was surprising to say the least, the first 10 minutes are the most amazing thing ever. If they make a new Up movie, it should take place during the time when Carl is with Ellie. That was the best part of the movie. But the rest of the movie is wonderful as well. It's a timeless classic and one of the best Pixar movies, along with the Toy Story trilogy, Wall-E, and FInding Nemo.
can i buy this movie? 2 months before my husband asked me to marry him we went to the theater to see this sweet movie. so it has a lot of sentimental meaning for me. because when i saw how much this little old couple loved each other it touched my heart in a way I'll never forget. If i could buy this movie i would surprise my husband on our anniversary with it just to bring him back to that moment when we held hands and made a our promise to grow old together :) this movie is very cute and will make you smile for the one you love
Pixar never fails Pixar has never failed to take an outlandish idea and turn it into something the whole family can enjoy. This movie was relatable to all ages. However i felt that the second half of the movie kept me wanting more after the wonderful beginning.overall great movie, very cute.
Good movie I like this movie from start to finish but my favorite part was the life of Carl and Ellie together. And of course the adventure book at the end when Carl realizes he and Ellie were the adventure. Very sweet and very sad. It made me cry. Good clean movie.
Rent it! One of the best movies ever. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll love it.
