GREAT!!!!! Some of the stories weren't as scary as the rest, but, all in all it did scare me, very well done for it's kind, what special effects it had were amazing, great, weird, horror movie.

Not usually a fan of horror movies. I don't usually watch horror movies because they don't scare me anymore. Although it didn't scare me, I enjoyed it. It's really a montage of films lot together, but it works. It was an above average film (a nice break from all these horrible demon/ghost haunting movies), but the only reason I'm really giving it 5 stars is because that first film with the hotel room girl was excruciatingly hot.

Very good This is less is movie and more an anthology of stories. Each story is actually well done and compelling. The found footage aspect Is way to played out but the stories are so interesting and diverse you forget that flaw quickly and it doesn't impact the experience enough to detract from the enjoyment

AWESOME LOW BUDGET FILM!!! This movie shocked the hell out of me! Normally I don't care for low budget, straight to DVD movies but this horror flick was great. I love anthology films, and this one made me proud. It was entertaining, gory, and scary. Great, great horror film!!

A Very Fun Movie This movie seems to be pretty divisive. Either you love it or you'll hate it. I loved it. Yes it's "Found Footage" but there was great detail put into the stories and special effects. It is one of the most original and fun horror movies in some time...

Found footage & a flimsy framing device. A must-see for found-footage film buffs (the sort who seek out the form that was made popular by "The Blair Witch Project"), but utterly skip-able for horror fans who like a coherent narrative. V/H/S benefits from an improvisational feel and smart low-budget techniques, and the anthology idea is dealt with in a competent way. Unfortunately, the story that brings these shorts together is flimsy at best, gratuitous at worst. One gets the feeling that the production team knew they had a marketable collection of short films, but defaulted to Dude-Nation-Stuck-in-Adolescence mode (Bare breasts? Check. Thugs who are cool with ransacking a house while dismissing a dead man in a chair? Check. Sure, let's head into the basement of this house containing a dead man? Check again. Hey! Look at all these tapes! Lemme settle down in front of this corpse to enjoy some home movies!) Best short: Second honeymoon. Short that could have been left on the cutting room floor: Haunted House.

Had potential, but... Mostly way too queasy and rushed, though the first story was quite good; opening the movie with an extended sequence of white dudes enjoying their "rape cam" got the whole thing off to a horrible start.

Outstanding Watched this with a bunch of friends and we all loved it. This may be similar to many of the "personal camera" movies we see nowadays, but it offers a fresh style to the genre and is a great horror film to boot. I highly recommend it, but stay away from the second one, it isn't as good. Also the first 15 minutes almost got me to stop watching, but after that it gets great, so stick through it!
Didn't enjoy this movie at all I love horror flicks and I've enjoyed the shakycam / found footage movies as much as the next guy... but this flick didn't do anything for me. Personally I think the first person style just doesn't mix well with the strung-together vignettes. Or maybe it's just poorly made with bad acting and writing. Either way, I didn't enjoy it.
Stupid and Retarded Don't waist your money everybody who voted 5 stars are probably made the movie or is affiliated in some way. But it was retarded IMO and Boring
Almost perfect I can't even ruin the story's but every one of them are great a must watch for horror fans also if you hav seen trick r treat you will love this if not tht is another movie to check out dey like tales from the krypt or darkside good story's
Surprisingly great I rented thus movie and live it. One to buy and share with friend. You'll be saying a lot of WTF
Mouth Dropping! I was so scared! It takes alot to satisfy me with a movie and I haven't seen a good scary one in awhile. My boyfriend got a good laugh from me jumping, grabbing his arm, and staring close with my mouth wide open!
Brilliant Found Footage has never been put together like this. Its Ingenious! Ok so some of the stories werent as scary as the others but it kept me intrigued. If you like this type of filming and love horror then I highly recommend this movie. If you don't want to see it because of the price then just wait till after October when its been out for a month.
Vhs I liked it, but it's an updated version of creepy show movies with a reality twist. good fun I recommend it on a rainy night.
Student films. Amature student films poorly done. Reminded me of the Blair Witch Project as far as lacking a point, poorly shot scenes, over all a huge disappointment. Very boring. ;(
Shocking This movie was more then I expected wast thinking it was going to be crap with the homemade camera set up but when they got to the strange movies oh my god was it awesome horror show must watch.

The Mist
David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.
Halloween (2007)
From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers. 1408 (Director's Cut)
Adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (John Cusack) believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. But after a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he has no real proof of life...afterlife. But Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but like many Stephen King heroes, first he must go from skeptic to true believer -- and confront his demons to survive the night. Kidnapping a third Japanese male tourist he begins the tissue matches, teeth removal and buttock moulding to create his triplet creature...
Stake Land
America has fallen. A vampiric scourge sweeps the nation, turning brother on brother and parent on child as the blood-hungry beasts take deeper and deeper hold upon the land. It's hard for the survivors to know whether to be more afraid of the creatures themselves or the violent religious groups that have sprung up in response, but there is clearly only one choice: fight or die. Connor Paolo (GOSSIP GIRL) stars as Martin, a young man traveling with only his taciturn mentor & a hardened fighter known simply as Mister as protection against this blasted earth in search of the rumoured safe haven of New Eden. Winner of the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and hailed as "the American horror film of the year" (Todd Brown, TwitchFilm.com), STAKE LAND establishes director Jim Mickle as a leader in the new generation of horror.

RID introduces the beautiful, young Dori, a girl so desperate for money she poses as a nurse hired to care for a comatose patient. Slowly she begins to unravel as something sinister feasts upon her as she sleeps. In the doctor’s final tale, BUGGER, a lonely man can’t seem to find a woman who shares his six-legged obsessions.
