Prediction: Vanishing on 7th St. will vanish from theaters very quickly.
Lisa Kennedy
Brad Anderson's supernatural thriller is stacked to keep us guessing. Initially, this makes it watchably atmospheric. But the inconclusive hints lead to the sense that he's withholding too much.
Betsy Sharkey
Anderson spends most of his energy creating a mood - making "Vanishing" more cerebral than white-knuckle, though a few more shrieks (mine) might have been nice.
Tirdad Derakhshani
This is The Twilight Zone as written by Jean Paul Sartre. What audacity! What vision! And, alas, what a failure.
Stephen Whitty
Anderson does a lot with very little - a wavering light, a patch of darkness - and Jaswinski's script tries to break up the stage-bound monotony with a few well-timed (if not particularly...
Lou Lumenick
Brad Anderson's creepily effective low-budget thriller may not have a punch line worthy of your typical "Twilight Zone" episode, but it otherwise gets the job done in under an hour and a half with...

Decent for rental This wasn't a home run but it was interesting enough for a viewing. The plot could have been fleshed out more, the end was a bit unsatisfying and the effects although minimal could have been better. On the flip side its well acted, the story really is interesting and it keeps your attention most of the time. Rent it though don't buy it.
Vanishing On Seventh Street Attempt to capitalize off of so many other movies, and a video game (Alan Wake), where darkness itself is the enemy. Interesting at first, lame after.
Awesome I was Scared. I Love it though. And it has Jacob Latimore in it LOVE THIS MOVIE
Review It was ok it Didn't. Really make sense will all the shadows. Like were the demons or ghost but anyway those kids will have to repopulate

Scary Good! This is now one of my favorite movies. It was so unpredictable unlike your normal scary movie. I could watch it again, hope there's a sequel.

The Mist
David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.
Halloween (2007)
From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child, named Michael Myers. 1408 (Director's Cut)
Adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King. Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin (John Cusack) believes only in what he can see with his own two eyes. But after a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he has no real proof of life...afterlife. But Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager (Samuel L. Jackson), the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be imminent, but like many Stephen King heroes, first he must go from skeptic to true believer -- and confront his demons to survive the night. The Human Centipede
Internationally respected Siamese twin surgeon Dr. Josef Heiter has a demented vision for mankind's future existence. When two stranded female Americans arrive at his luxury home-cum-hospital looking for help, his long-gestating plan swiftly moves into chilling action with a shocking force. Kidnapping a third Japanese male tourist he begins the tissue matches, teeth removal and buttock moulding to create his triplet creature...
Stake Land
America has fallen. A vampiric scourge sweeps the nation, turning brother on brother and parent on child as the blood-hungry beasts take deeper and deeper hold upon the land. It's hard for the survivors to know whether to be more afraid of the creatures themselves or the violent religious groups that have sprung up in response, but there is clearly only one choice: fight or die. Connor Paolo (GOSSIP GIRL) stars as Martin, a young man traveling with only his taciturn mentor & a hardened fighter known simply as Mister as protection against this blasted earth in search of the rumoured safe haven of New Eden. Winner of the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and hailed as "the American horror film of the year" (Todd Brown, TwitchFilm.com), STAKE LAND establishes director Jim Mickle as a leader in the new generation of horror.

Creeping Crawling is a terrifying anthology featuring three tales of horror about things that go slither in the night. Two students get more than they bargained for when they seek the help of an eccentric Entomologist to help with a research project. Dr. Tarkovsky tells three dark tales about the creeping crawling insects that burrow through the walls of homes, eat through our intestines, and for some of us, drive us slowly insane. He first yarn, GRUBBERY tells the story of supermodel Denver who will do anything to keep her figure even as she is eaten away by her own vanity. RID introduces the beautiful, young Dori, a girl so desperate for money she poses as a nurse hired to care for a comatose patient. Slowly she begins to unravel as something sinister feasts upon her as she sleeps. In the doctor’s final tale, BUGGER, a lonely man can’t seem to find a woman who shares his six-legged obsessions. In the meantime, a serial killer lurks.

Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs.
