Linda Barnard
Knoller is wonderful as the emotionally cut-off, yet vulnerable Yossi, who yearns for something more from life, but feels both terror at the prospect and unworthiness to claim it.
Rick Groen
Yossi is an early spring breeze of a film - too delicate to be substantial but definitely holding the promise of warmth.
Ignatiy Vishnevetsky
It's serious about its characters and their emotions, but still finds room for humor.
Stephanie Merry
"Yossi" has an air of lightness but never feels insignificant.
Ben Sachs
Eytan Fox depicts modern gay life and contemporary Tel Aviv with sympathy and knowing insight, and he excels at creating casual rapport among actors; yet in film after film he undermines these gifts with hamfisted melodramatic plotting.
Loren King
Knoller manages to make even a withdrawn character compelling, and worth rooting for as Yossi struggles to shed his shell.

The film's pacing sputters as Fox drags Yossi through dreary scenes of self-denying repression.

Cloud 9
Cloud 9 is the groundbreaking and lyrical story of a 67-year old married woman who rediscovers passion and her sexuality when she falls in love with a 76-year old man. Cloud 9 won an Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at last year's Cannes Film Festival, and the Best Director and Best Actress prizes at this year's German Film Awards.
Dogtooth
2011 Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film.
Graceful, enigmatic, and often frightening, DOGTOOTH is an ingenious dark comedy that won the Prix Un Certain Regard at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, propelling Yorgos Lanthimos to the forefront of contemporary cinema's most ambitious young filmmakers.
In an effort to protect their three children from the corrupting influence of the outside world, a Greek couple transforms their home into a gated compound of cultural deprivation and strict rules of behavior. But children cannot remain innocent forever. When the father brings home a young woman to satisfy his son's sexual urges, the family's engineered "reality" begins to crumble, with devastating consequences.
Like the haunting, dystopic visions of Michael Haneke and Gaspar Noé, DOGTOOTH punctuates its compelling drama with moments of shocking violence, creating a biting social satire that is as profound as it is provocative.

Interior. Leather Bar.
Inspired by the mythology surrounding the highly controversial 1980 film, CRUISING, starring Al Pacino - in which, 40 minutes of sexually explicit material was forced to be cut out - filmmakers James Franco and Travis Matthews set out to re-imagine the lost footage. Assembling a mix of gay and straight men, including Val Lauren (THE SALTON SEA, LIVE FROM BAGHDAD) in the lead role, the result is a provocative exploration of the importance of the radical and transgressive in society and the value of engaging with the unfamiliar.
Zaytoun
In 1982, amid the Lebanese Civil War, Israeli pilot Yoni (Stephen Dorff) is shot down over Beirut and is taken prisoner by inhabitants of a Palestinian refugee camp. Among the captors is twelve-year-old Fahed, whose father obsessively tends to his prized, but sickly olive tree, refusing to replant it until the return to their ancestral land. Despite his deep-rooted hatred for Yoni, Fahed realizes he can use him to get past the border and into "Palestine" to plant his father's olive tree. The two embark on a harrowing and dangerous journey - one that tests the very boundaries of humanity. ZAYTOUN is a story of survival, reconciliation and friendship.
The Missing Picture (English)
The critically acclaimed, THE MISSING PICTURE, a 2014 Oscar® nominee for Best Foreign Language film, is filmmaker Rithy Panh's personal quest to re-imagine his childhood memories. From the time when the Khmer Rouge ruled over Cambodia between 1975 and 1979, the only recorded artifacts that remain are propaganda footage. Panh uses beautifully detailed sculpted clay figurines and elaborate dioramas to recreate the missing images from his memory. His recollections of his family and friends before and after the regime's rule are poignantly told through a narrator's poetic voice. THE MISSING PICTURE is a unique documentary that manages to capture a historical moment that would never be told if not for the sheer creative mind of Panh and his innovative storytelling method.

The Living End
THE LIVING END by Gregg Araki is one of the most highly acclaimed classics of New Queer Cinema. Melding pop noir elements into a lovers on the run tale, the film explores the sexual and fatally romantic consequences of gay male attraction in the 90s. -- After a series of mishaps, Jon hits the road with Luke, a rootless hustler, into the desolate, quasi-surrealistic American Wasteland.
Drool
Anora Fleece (Laura Harring from MULHOLLAND DRIVE) has got it rotten. Her husband is abusive, her children are disrespectful, and she lives in the middle of nowhere feeling like a nobody. Then Imogene Cochran moves into the neighborhood. Imogene sells Kathy K. Kosmetics make-up for the cocoa skinned woman. The neighbors don't like cocoa skinned anything, but that doesn't stop Imogene and Anora from becoming friends and, eventually, more than friends. When Anora's husband, Cheb (Oded Fehr from THE MUMMY series), finds them, all hell breaks loose, but the tables are turned when Anora accidentally shoots Cheb dead. Anora and Imogene then pile the kids in the Kathy K. car, throw the corpse in the trunk and ride off on a "family" road trip to bury Daddy.

Laughing in the face of cynicism, Marc dreams of that big Broadway break, songwriter Robert dreams of Marc while the deliciously delusional Cynthia stalks her dream employer with nothing to recommend her except for a blank resume and the ability to accessorize. But when sexy neighbor David enters the picture, the harsh realities of life, love and career test their incorrigible optimism in this gay romantic comedy classic. A festival favorite, "Broadway Damage" is the winner of the Outfest Audience Award.
