The story starts with the joining of a new English teacher, Rahul Prakash Udyavar (Shahid Kapoor), in Swaraswati Vidya Mandir School, situated in the outskirts of Mumbai's suburbs. Though he creates an instant rapport with students and teachers alike, he realizes that there is something amiss in this school. Slowly his doubts come true as the manager of the school, Sharma (Saurabh Shukla), makes many monetary obligations compulsory for the parents in the name of extracurricular activities. He goes to the extent of punishing the students inhumanely when the parents do not fulfill the new unjustified demands of the school. Day by day the stress level of the students increases, leading to unexpected and grim consequences. The situation becomes so explosive that it becomes a national issue. Paathshaala tries to answer many questions related to the sanctity of today's education system. The high morals and basic ethics of the teachings have taken a back seat. Profit and more profit have become a new mantra of educational institutions. Paathshaala is not afraid of telling the truth about the wrong doings of greedy educational institutes; neither does it spare them from exposing the use of unethical media activities for the children who are yet not ready for it.

3 Bachelors

Indian Cinema
This is a film about two young bachelors and one young at heart bachelor. It's a humorous take on their respective love stories. Mischievous Amit (Sharman Joshi) and shy Jay (Manish Nagpal) are two small town boys who come down to Mumbai for admission in Dhariwal College. To his credit, Amit ends up in a jam when he teases Neha (Raima Sen) and Nisha (Riya Sen) on the very first day of college and manages to drag poor Jay into this mess too. They are brought in front of principal Shalini Devi (Himani Shivpuri) and somehow manage to keep their admission in the college intact, but their biggest problem is that they don't get a room in the college hostel. Not being very affluent, the boys can't just go to a hotel or rent a furnished flat for the duration of college. They employ the help of an estate agent, who finds them a client who rents out a room in her house for cheap, the only condition being, no single men allowed, only families and married couples. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Jay is transformed into Jaya and Amit is the lucky husband. When the tenant couple goes to meet their landlady, they stand dazed to find out that it is their college principal Shalini Devi. Innocent to the con, Shalini Devi agrees to allow this couple in her home. The double whammy for the couple arrives when, the next morning, Amit and Jaya find out that Shalini Devi has two nieces.... the very two beautiful girls they got into trouble with in college: Neha and Nisha. Now starts the real confusion of romance and love. Amit falls madly in love with Neha, but she of course doesn't look at him because according to her he is married. Nisha falls hard for Jay in college without knowing that he is playing wife Jaya to Amit. On the other hand Jay refuses to indulge her advances, as he wants to sincerely concentrate on his studies and make his parents proud. The whole college is exasperated with Principal Shalini Devi's autocracy and strictness so both Amit and Jay involve their professor Deepak Verma in a crazy plan. They encourage Deepak to have an affair with Shalini. They think that love can change everything, and if Shalini falls for Deepak then maybe she will become softer and loving towards the whole world in general. Amit and Neha coach Deepak in the matters of the heart and love. The college campus is now ringing with love stories of three couples: Amit-Neha, Jay-Nisha and Deepak-Shalini. Just when these stories are about to reach a happily ever after, comes the climax with a resounding Boom. Everyone's real identity and real reasons for falling in love are discovered by each other and all hell breaks loose. The Boom happens but it does not destroy as expected. The climax shows how Amit wins Neha; how Nisha convinces Jay that love is not a hindrance but rather enhances life, and how the strict Shalini finally starts purring like a pussycat because of her love for Deepak. Three Bachelors is a story full of comedy, romance and confusion that promises to make you laugh uncontrollably and will win your hearts!

Bol

Indian Cinema

The web of relationships within a family that barely makes ends meet. On top of the poverty, the father subscribes to a set of values many would relate to...Values that we inherit and tightly hold on to, values that embody contradictions, values that have not been questioned.

Bol is a roller coaster of emotions, yet carries subtleties that make your heartbeat stop. Based in the heart of Lahore, the story takes place in a house full of daughters, with vibrancy of life, yet restrictions on blooming. It questions the worth of a human being, may it be a woman or a person born with defect. It questions the authority of reproducing human beings into this world without taking responsibility of acknowledging their worth.

Bol takes you through a journey into the life of this family experiencing their troubles, sufferings, resolves and high points. As family members take decisions to solve their problems they step into deeper troubles. The complexity of their circumstances becomes a struggle of life and death.

Humaina Malick, after gaining popularity on the small screen in the recent years has been picked for the big screen for the first time. She plays a daughter who gets affected the most by the family tensions. She respects the norms she has been given by her parents, yet is compelled by her intuitive logic and sense for justice.

Atif Aslam plays an enlightened neighbor, and with his two loves, one for music and the other for the next-door beauty, Mahira Khan, adds romance and melody to the film.

Iman Ali will be seen in a very different role than her usual appearances. Courtesan who is ambivalent between the standards of success her family considers so important and the desires of her own heart.

Raanjhanaa

Indian Cinema
The first love in anyone's life holds a special place especially if the memory is filled with the vibrant musings of the city that you grew up in. Benaras holds a special place in Kundan's heart, because not only did he grow up as a typical, God fearing, shiv bhakt-Pandit but also because it was the city that gave him Zoya.
Quiet and beautiful with mischievous eyes, Zoya was the girl of his dreams. She was like a breath of fresh air the first time he saw her on the busy streets, sitting regally in a Tonga. He would follow her everyday to the bazaar, back to her house till one day he mustered the courage to speak to her and tell her his true feelings - his 13 year-old heart, smitten by her simplicity. She, of course, didn't take him seriously and brushed him off. Time passed by and Zoya moved to Delhi to study further.
Love they say is a feeling that only grows stronger with time and Kundan's love for Zoya never diminished, he carried his feeling all through college and his heart flipped when Zoya came back to his town. With Zoya back in Benaras, Kundan's world was filled with excitement as he was thinking of finally telling her how he felt. Zoya finally met Kundan and confessed her true feelings to him. She was in love!
She was in love with Akram, a college friend from DU, and he was the love of her life. She wanted Kundan's help in marrying him. His world shattered and his heart broke a million pieces, the rage that Kundan felt was inexplicable. He was torn between his true feelings for Zoya and his heart's pleas to help her get her true love because who could understand that pain better than him.
He sets out to unite her with Akram, and what follows is a tale of love, betrayal, redemption, and healing set against the very rooted town of Benaras and the upbeat political environs of Delhi. Raanjhanaa is the story of Kundan, his journey from a 13 year-old boy in love who goes on to become a committed, spirited young man, who's experiences in life made him the person he is today.
It's the story of love!!

Milenge Milenge

Indian Cinema
Magic happens, if you let it, and sometimes even fate or destiny, or whatever you want to call it, steps in to lend a hand. When it concerns love, and finding that special person you're going to spend the rest of your life with, should you risk tempting fate with a test of that love or what is seemingly meant to be, or should you just follow your apparent destiny and embrace it? Such are the questions two people must face and answer in the romantic comedy/drama, "Milenge Milenge".
This charming romantic comedy has all the right ingredients and serves up a serving of sugary romance and slapstick fun. Amit (Shahid Kapoor) and Priya (Kareena Kapoor) meet at a youth festival in Bangkok. The attraction is instant and they spend days together cavorting around Bangkok City. At the end of the festival when they are preparing to come back to Delhi, Amit loses Priya's trust and she decides to end the relationship. Amit tries to regain her trust by telling her that are destined to be together and Priya decides that if it is fate that they should be together, they will find each other in Delhi again, although neither know the other's whereabouts in Delhi.
Years go by and both of them are about to be married, but each still has this nagging feeling that the other was his/her one true love. Of course fate conspires to bring them back together (after about a dozen very interesting near misses) as they each simultaneously undertake one last attempt to find one another just before they get married to someone else.
So is all of life pre-determined, including our soul mates? That's the theme explored in Milenge Milenge, a delightful fairytale of a romantic comedy that makes you fall in love all over again.
