Lovers Rock, often dubbed 'romantic reggae' is a uniquely black British sound that developed in the late 70s and 80s against a backdrop of riots, racial tension and sound systems. Shinkichi, a handsome 25-year old man, was cursed as a baby when his father killed a businessman. Unknowing of the curse, Shinkichi gets married to an older woman, Oshiga, who works as a teacher.
