Plot Summary

Life is no picnic for the ants on Ant Island! Each summer a gang of greedy grasshoppers - led by the menacing and manipulative Hopper (Kevin Spacey) - descends upon the colony to demand a hefty portion of the ants' hard-earned harvest and generally make life miserable for this peaceful community. Our hero Flik (Dave Foley), an original thinker out of step with the rest of the more traditionally-minded colony, takes it upon himself to get outside help and mistakenly enlists an unemployed troupe of bug performers from a second-rate flea circus to join the fight against the grasshoppers. Working together in their new-found friendship, the ants and the circus bugs prepare for a climactic confrontation with the grasshoppers. When Flik's plan starts to unravel, the action and comedy turns fast and furious as he attempts to save the colony and his reputation.

My Favorite Pixar Film

"A Bug's Life" is such an amazing film. Every rock, blade of grass, drop of water has been so realistically replicated by the geniuses at Pixar. The characters are very stylized, yet realistic, and every one of them is loveable. The film has a strong hero with good morals, a strong villain with realistic motives, and a great climax. Not to mention it's hilareous cast of supporting characters. My favorite is Heimlich, the German oversized caterpillar. This is a must have on my list.

good movie, too much?

ok, so I love bugs life. Its funnny and entertaining, but why is it 14.99? I mean this is an older movie from disney so shouldnt it be a bit cheaper?

Great Flik! ...pun intended.

Disney/Pixar has yet to strike out with their films. Each one is a gem in my book. I love animation, and I have to say this team is the best. "A Bugs' Life" is not a disappointment in any way, shape, or form. Fun and creative movie.
